reactors or p12 jibs

If you were 150 lbs, 5 foot 11, great skier, mostly park some small mountain, and you had a pair of 03/04 pollards, would you get reactor bindings or p12 jibs and where would you mount them.

p12 jibs... they're proven, while the reactors are not... and ive found them cheaper than reactors... and reactors have less energy transfer onto the skis or so i hear because of their Line Mounting system...

and I get my skis mounted where the ball of my foot is over the balance point on the skis. but thats just my preference

you cant go wrong with p12s - they're such a versatile binding that all three pairs of my skis are mounted with them

go with the reactors the tech is so unbelievable, ^^ these guys are biased cuz they have no experience with reactor (im guessing i rode the p12s and they are good but the reactor is really worth it.

nigga please i saw some fool with those gay ass reactors the others day massin around with them cause they werent workin and if you look at were the brake is set its wicketywhack

p12s fo sho, reactors should still be in R+D

reactors, trust me they are sooooo much better then looks i have helped mount a few and they kick fucking ass definatly the reactors

I'm sure the reactors are great bindings and everything, but those plates under them are more than a little ridiculous. It's like a 15mm rise, and more if you have to adapt them. Look is cheaper, not to mention tried and tested.

Anyone bitching about the plate COMPLETELY misses the point of the Reactor, and how it works. The plate is 100% necessary to the functioning of the binding. As for weight, you'd have to be a pretty big idiot to recommend a P12, P14, or any Look race stock binding over a Reactor, because they're either almost as or just as heavy as Line's binding. Try picking up a Reactor in one hand and a high end look binding in the other some time, you'll see it pretty much instantly.

im just curious as to how the plate is necessary for the binding to function or whatever. and overshot...that was the dumbest thing i've ever heard. go bury your head in the sand

it all depends on what kind of stance you want really, cuz with the reactors you only get one choice, the reactors are sick tho

reactors all the way man ... they are such a nice binding .. maybe not tested by to many ppl on NS but the pro tem uses them all the time. and i dont thin they would use them if they sucked ... plus some ppl on NS have used them and said they kick ass.

Is it something i said so fuck you to.

Go for the reactors if you don't mind a heavy binding. I would also suggest them if you have more than one pair of line ski then you can switch between with only one binding. just keep those 4 screws tight though.

p12 they kick ass, while all the guys above are talking out of their ass cause they havent even skied them yet.

this goes to everyone cause hardly anyone knows this...the line bindings are adjustable on the plate to provide a more foreward and rearwar(?) stance. it's not just one stance option. you can set it up for park or big mtn.

to make it simple.....people say go with proven quality....look/rossi bindings. Sounds fair. Now lets look at previous Line bindings....Pivogy....proven crap. :P

i second the jibs.. i got em, they are badass

The reactors weigh more than the pivot 12, it lifts you a long ways off the ski, the brakes dont engage cleanly, they have to be mounted in one certain spot, and they overall just dont seem safe. When mounting these bindings they dont even really go together very well when trying to install the brake. If the reactor is so safe, then why the fuck dont all of the line riders use those bindings? The idea behind the reactor seems allright, but they need to work some shit out if they want to have happy customers.

i've owned the reactors for 2 seasons, i love them. they're not that much heavier, they're super safe as they've saved my knees a few times, and they're solid.

the reactors are the same height off the ski as everyother binding except looks. Looks are really coo how close to the ski they are, but the line reactor is the best to happen to skiing right now.

^^ have they even been out that long?

I wouldn't worry about the weight. Reactors weigh a ton. P12's weigh a ton. And race stock bindings weight 2 tons.

COME ON GUYS!

How bout you guys all go and look at the bindings on the webpage, they have the plate in the middle for TWO reasons..... one so they can use the 4 screw system to interchange your binding to your skis and two so they can use the park mountain/ big mountain positioning system......... i would wait a year for the Line Reactors to become true and tested but they defiantly use a cool technology and I would suggest looking into it....... anyways you could always buy both if u have the cash?

cheers

1080ryebread: sort of. i bought them off of a line rep 3 years ago now, when they were originally supposed to be released. basically i got them during the limited edition 2 seasons ago. then the plastic supplier went to hell, and that screwed line over for a season of production. so yes, they have been. sort of.

whoever was talking about the lift, it's as much as any other binding. it's really not that noticeable when you ride them. i don't notice much difference between my reactors + darksides and my salomon s710's + salomon verses
