Lib tech makes skis now???????? my freinds dad is a rep for them.if any 1 knows this please let me know.

They are making test models for next season to see if they work/if it is worth it. They shouldn't be on the market for like 1.5-2 years.

i guess you don't know to much about me eh? i was pretty heavy into snowboarding for years and switched back when snowboarding turned into a commercialized showing of gap kids! im just sayin don't buy their shit, snowboarders have given skiers shit since the beginning and now one of those companies wants to cross over.

Wouldn't buying any pair of skis, except from companies like line and lacroix, be supporting snowboarding too? Why the fuck does it matter anyway?

It'd be better if snowboard companies started making skis. It'd make all the companies that are too lazy to support their riders compete with the sponsor-driven skis.

I say more power to them. The more competition that is out there, the better events that means for us.

Why can't we all just get along?

who cares if they are a snowboarding movie, but they might be trying to cash into freeskiing, which would produce a bunch of shitty cheap skis.

I would prefer to support companies that are obvoisuly trying to push freeskiing (Salomon with the first twin tip, Line, with an all twin tip line of skis, K2 with their original freeride team, etc etc..) I couldnt care less if the company made snowboards or not

Ya, I would buy Burton or Lib Tech skis just cause I think most ski companies are gay. Except for Rossi, Line and Volkl I dont really like many ski companies.

Libtech would be great. More twins to choose from. If there good buy them and if they suck don't. Its that simple. Besides they would be all about freeskiing and snowboarding. They cater to us jibbers. If we want something they will make it to please us, not some company making rec skis to please tourist! It would be great if snowboard companies would join the freeskiing movement, they will help the progression and erase the hatred between SOME skier and boarders!

Lib tech has been making skis for severall, years and they sponsor 1 of the baker locals, these skis are custom built, and have not been for sale at all. they are still in the research phase, but are planning on taking the skis to market in the next few years

 
i think it's fuckin sick that snowboard companies are coming into the ski industry, we need it! keep in mind that twintips are mostly still secondary to big ski companies, they are into racing, more companies will help out alot, keep other companies on their toes. dont be ignant about it or you will get left in the dust. i come from a snowboarding background so i think it's great and if forum made a pair of skis that would be sick, i've been wanting a pair since i started skiing

yeah i think any skis made by a snowboarding company would be phatt. they companies would start out making twin tips, instead of making normal skis then evolving into twin tips skis like head and salomom.

all the worlds a terrain park and the people are just jibbers.

Well, just from a graphics standpoint, skiing needs this. Snowboard graphics are SOOOO much cooler than skiing graphics, so we should be seeing some sweet looking skis in the future.

Yeah, thats right. Only buy from the 'real' companies that are 'cool' because any company that makes anything besides skis obviously has no idea what they are doing.

 
Elan makes Forum snowboards in their factory. So Forum skis would have a similar quality to their snowboards - crappy - and Elan skis - I will leave that one up to you.

 
i agree with whoever said the thing about graphics. Other than the Candide's, ski graphics are shitty.

i think its pretty sweet that snowboard companies are thinking of making skis. hurray for unity! and i can't wait to see what Libtech comes out with because i love their skate boards....

You know something that would really make me applaud? A guy gets stuck in quicksand, then sinks, then suddenly comes shooting out, riding on water skis. How do they do that?
 
i talked to the libtech rep he said that they have been making a few skis for a while. i guess the engineer olsson has been making skis for his kids(funnyhuh?). Its called the olsson project. he wasnt aware of them going mainstreem anytime soon.

when I was in Vegas at the trade show I was bullshitting with the owners wife, by the way shes hot. Anyway she had her little daughters skis. First of all from a graphics stand point they were the coolest fucking skis I have seen in a very long time, It had a sick base graphic and the topsheet was two barbie dolls kicking the shit out of each other. Second of all lib tech is an awesome company, I am all about them starting to make skis, they make sick boards and give a shit about their riders.
