Re: the review Dynastar Candide

I'm pretty sure the only difference between them is that candides have an extra layer of fiberglass, making them a little stiffer.

i just bought the concepts and the guy at the shop told me they were the same ski just cheaper and diff graffics but i think dcman i sright

stephan, whered u get them from?...cause a lot of the time guys at the ski shops dont know shit about twins...thats why I do the researching and dont need to be told what theyre like

Yeah Candides, are stiffer than the concepts...for sure

I think they have an extra layer of fiber glass and some stiff rod going through the middle

thats only what i heard, not to sure

ya, they got some grip tape on the top too

If your monkey was misbehaving, would you spank it?

yea i bet that grip tape stuff increases the performance of the ski 10 fold.

Funny how massive corporations and media giants like NBC refuse to support new skiing events like big air and big mountian, yet they use the latter's image to enhance their own. Actually, not so funny. Suck it, NBC.

Ya, I need new skis and I'm considering the concepts, so anyone who has them could ya please reply yer thoughts on them.

How do they compare to something like Pow' Airs. Later.

I got concepts. They look really good sitting in my room sitting beside my new L10s. Go with the blue carpet really well.

I'll let you know how they perform when I find some fuggin snow in Toronto

The grip tape on the Candide's sucks in mid winter cuz it gets all iced up and slippery .. but who really cares.. do the stylish thing and grab under the ski not just the topsheet

lol, same here, new concepts sitting in my room waiting for snow. I'll write something about em as soon as I can.

Concepts are awesome. I have two pairs, 2001's with tele and 2002's with alpine bindings. they are the best ski I have used in the park (also used 1080, mcT) . the flex is perfect for me (~160lbs) and they work well on all kinds of hits and in the pipe.

a super stable ski on groomers, pretty good in moguls, and good in the powder. I haven't broken a pair yet and I break EVERY ski that I have used, 1080 and McT included.

they are the best value of all the twin tips at $400.

How many boots could three Phils fill if three Phils could fill boots?

fuck no. the OG candides are the most important ski like, EVER! the only worthwhile bump i ever saw. i gave the bumperer a 10 for karma just for making me think of the OG candides for 20 seconds.

i made my ski shop in verbier order them in from france when i was like 11 years old. did school racing events on them. my coaches thought i was so cool. booyah!
