Re-Mounting

Ive got the new 1080's and some hack chick snowboard slammed into me breaking my binding... if I remount a new binding on the ski will it affect the performance of my ski?... make the ski weaker? or damage it?

i could be wrong so if i am all you techies correct me, but i heard that remounting skis doesnt make them weaker till aboot the 3rd or 4th time. thats what i heard so correct me if im wrong.. thats my two cents.. good luck

legally, a ski can be mounted 3 times, then it can't be touched by a shop anymore.

And make sure you dont drill new holes near the old ones

yeah, if there's only one set of holes already drilled, just be sure to plug the holes, and then remount...but remember, dont mount at the midpoint again, you'll either have to go forward or back...i have my pocket rockets mounted 1 cm back from the midpoint...they carve like hell like that...if you want tons of fakie control, one cm forward of midpoint is good, maybe even more..but be sure to take it to a shop, dont try it on your own.

Salomon2003 I have my pocket rockets 1 cm back of midpoint just like you and they kick ass. THey will even handle sick on hardpack. You should be fine with putting another set of holes in your skis.
