RCMP Crack Down On Drinking and Drugs on Alberta Mountains

Fuck that drinking and smoking on lifts is just part of the skiing culture, especially during nice warm spring days! Total waste of police funds.
 
Such a waste of resources. I'm not from the area, but I can say any mountain is gonna have skiers/boarders smoking and drinking on the mountain. It's really not a big fucking deal. Let's just legalize already.

 
This is fucking dumb. Let patrol handle this if its an issue. Cops shouldn't be paid to ski.
 
Alberta cops are the biggest dicks I have ever encountered too. I was DD'ing for friends near Cochrane the night after we skied Louise, and they were blatantly accusing me of drinking and smoking weed in the car and swearing at me for no reason. By the way, there was absolutely no weed ever smoked in the car, and I wasn't given a breathalizer even with such strong accusations. I can understand regular checkstops and whatnot, but there was no need to act like that, especially since I was dead sober and polite.
 
Aw, piggy was mean to you... Aside from that rude experience, how well are you enjoying your first year of life in a civilization on the planet Earth?
 
I prefer drinking on the lifts. If you smoke are you smoking tiny joints or just packing a onie/chillum? I usually just want 2-3 hits at a time but don't want to carry a nice piece of glass with me if I am falling down in the park.
 
Wast of their time. It's really not going to stop drug or alcohol use on the mountain. They just want some ski time and less days of their jobs.
 
The program is voluntary in the sense that police officers are not going to be assigned to a ski hill to do patrol. The RCMP officers who do volunteer to be a part of it will still be payed.

I stand by my original statement that this is a waste of police funds.

Better even, Alison Redford declared that the revenue of the oil sands will be nowhere near predicted. So, full of oil.......got no money out of it
 
Just go to your favorite smoke spot on the mountain. I highly doubt they will search the trees for people smoking weed.
 
Heard this earlier today from a couple of my friends who have passes at Louise, this is just a really pointless service for the mountain to provide
