Raynox 0.3 fisheye

well first of all its not a fish eye its a semi fish eye wide angle lens (mx3000) I have one and it works great umm...good for follow cams, kills your zoom...I like that you dont get a black ring around your shot which is good...its a great lens

idunno man no hate or anything like i have a .5 and its aight it doesnt make a huge difference tho like you can tell but idunno im just talking out of my ass

yeah you prolly dont wanna go lower then .3i have like .22

insane fisheye almost 180 dgerees of view i think crazy vignette but i like itthink i might pick up one soon the raynox that is

its kind of useless, i mean you will oviously tell a diffrence but it will be like nothing

but alot of people with gl1-2s have them in the skating world mostly because its one of the only wide angle/fish lens for the camera

its a great lense! it kills your zoom as he said, and it makes your shots a tiny bit darker, but keep it in good shape and you wont notice it. I loved to shoot follow cams and funny shots with it! so great to have on a sunny day when no one wants to sit around and shoot with a tripod.. you can jump next to the skier/rider your shooting and it will be good

yeah, follow cams are great, good for skating.

Everybody i know that has a fisheye zooms with it. Even the kids from QUICK! had zoomed in shots with a WA lens

if you can't afford a death lens this is the lens to get. And of course it kills your zoom, why the fuck would you zoom with a fish eye, you want that shit as wide as possible. There's no vignetting on a vx21 all the way back. And you can make it even wider if you glue another lens inside it.

Eh, it's not bad for the price yanno? But personally, I love my 0.42 wide angle/fisheye by Pheonix I believe. It's not too much, and not too little. Plus I got it for a steal through my old Photo Prof. If you want to go balls to the walls son, get a 0.25 Pheonix. Shit's only like 70 dollars or something and will fit most cameras.

There isnt really much need for a fisheye. Unless your filming inside or in tight quarters i dont see much need. The only reason I have one is so when i film skating/skiing, doing follow cams through interesting or danger terrain you can easily get fucked up. I see kids using them for the dumbest stuff. Also if you get a fisheye, dont buy into the whole 1 hand on the camera handle and extend your arm as far as you can. Its not style it looks dumb. Filmers only do that when there in danger. Also your shots suck too. I saw this like 10 year old with a real craappy fisheye and camera via best buy set up. He was filming his friend follow cam doing the whole"pro film skate style" looked horrible. Thats my quick sense on it.

yeah, at high speeds i usually dont even use the view finer just keep my hands steady and use my brain. easy shit

eww dude

zooom in alot with any wide angle or fisheye.

terible quality

pixels and you get a tunnel vision effect where everything looks horrible and gross outwards in

why would you ever want to zoom with a fisheye??? jeeeeez!

i have the raynox. I like it a lot but if you have the money id go for somthing a bit better. its decent for follow cams and good for skating. its a perfect lense to start out with right after you drop maaad bills for a new cam. overall its a nice lens

there's a tutorial on skateperception.com, there is some vingetting, but you can zoom through it ot stretch the corners in post.

i suggest you get one that has atleast 180 degrees veiwing.. i seen one the otherday that had about 230 degree's or something like that.. so dont get that one.. it doesnt even really seem all that great

I got a .38 semi fish and its fucking awesome i love it. Perfect for follows and getting good jib shots.

You can make any fish eye work as long as you got some duct tape. Personally I think they should only be used in very very few shots and in all follow cams.

ya vignette looks SO unprofessional. i seriously can't stand that shit it drives me up the wall. like, zoom in AT ALL and you won't see it, thus reducing the gayness factor by 100.
