Yep, rate it, write a little review or just say what you liked about it, scale of 1-10. This works well on other forums so it should work here.

i just saw step brothers and it was so fucking funny ill give it a 10, it had no real plot but just a hole bunch of funny shit. everyone should see it

Batman The Dark Knight- 10

Overall the movie was amazing, another great performance from Christian Bale and by far the most outstanding performance from Heath Ledger. Ledger's Joker was spot on and by far one of the best characters played in a movie in a long time. Overall I place the Dark Knight in my top 3 movies of all time, and Ledger's performance as one of the best I have ever witnessed.

last movie i saw: dark knight

for my NS blog: https://www.newschoolers.com/web/content/blogs/jid/1081/eid/2816/

With

$155 million this weekend, and first on IMDB with scores of 10 it was hard to

find anyone that had anything negative to say about the movie. If you look back

at the earlier reviews though there is a good page and a half of people

trashing the movie, and while I agree with some of their points I have written

this to try to give the least unbiased perspective, from neither a batman nerd,

and dark batman movie hater, to express a movie that will I am sure be remember

as a great one for many, many years.

So the circumstances surrounding this

movie with Heath Ledgers death provoked a lot of extra hype around this

movie, especially around joker’s performance, so I tried to go into the movie

with as little bias, and believing that it was no more than hype. Even as

leaving the theater I told my brother I would have to sleep on it and let it

sink in so I could properly critique it in the morning.

I believe that it

was well written and thus causing the acting to be decent. Some of the story

was a bit iffy to me, for example I would have liked to have heard more about

the jokers background as it provoked at lot of interest to see what were the

things in his life to drive him to such antics. You have to have a dark sense

of humour to enjoy some of his antics (hospital scene). Some of the plot didn’t

make perfect sense either to me. For instance when batman decided to save

Harvey Dent rather than his ex Rachael, when they were running from the building

about to blow up I would have thought they would have been sprinting for their

lives but it didn’t seem like that, batman didn’t even try protect him really

or anything, they barely if jump away, and thus causing Harvey to become two

face.

As for time, I must be honest and say a

few times I did wonder how long it would continue only that because of the

intense scene where I was amazed at how much longer it could continue, although

Heath performance was great and yes he will win at least one Oscar, I would

have liked to see more appreciation for Dent (two face). His acting was great

as well. As for Christian as batman his acting wasn’t superb I didn’t see

anything from him that really surprised me but overall the action kept me in my

seat through the full 2 hrs and 30 mins (roughly) and will definitely be a

movie to live on in its epicness

As for Heath Ledger, to go out on a

role, well its not really possible to go out on a role bigger than this, as it

doesn’t get any bigger, seeing him in the last few scenes you had to think to

yourself would this be the last scene he would ever be filmed in? To say the

least you cant get any bigger than his last role really and ill admit he played

his character very well, and I’m sure he’ll always be a legend.

I'd like to close by saying, out of 10 i would give this movie 9,

not a 10, because although this is a very special movie, and will live

on as an epic one by most, the movie had to have been perfect, and

perfect it was not.

ENJOY!

Pippin Lee

The Dark Knight 15 outa 10. just an amazing performance by Heath Ledger, he just played the part so well. i guess that is why i have seen the movie 4 times already.

Ocean's 13 - 7.8

All I have to say is that George Clooney and Brad Pitt are awesome. And the two brothers are pretty legit also.

Waking Life

i'd give it a 9. the art style is amazing, very original, and the concepts and ideas in the movie can change your outlook on life.

Live Free or Die Hard

7/10

Sick action segs, i liked the whole ccyber hacking thing too. Could've developed the story more, and Justin Long fails. Other then that, sick movie, and Lucy from the movie is slammin

dont mess with the zohan 7.5. it was funny in the begining, but all the fake acecents and real lame sex jokes got old.

last two movies ive seen have been some of the more epic movies that have been released in a while...

The Dark Knight was unbelievable.... and in IMAX (which i hope everone saw it in) it was even more spectacular than i thought it could be... 10

Pineapple Express- Maybe the funniest movie i have seen in a decade... non-stop weed smoking and the perfect portrayal of a weed dealer and one of his customers throughout a few days of adventure... i hope everyone is planning on going to see this because i promise you wont be dissapointed... 10

Dark Knight-9.999999999/10

It was an insane movie with sick everything. Special effects incredible and everything. The only thing i disliked about it was the length. I got sick of it for a little and they needed to end a little bit earlier but still a super sick movie and would recomend it to anyone and everyone

actually... the one thing that did disappoint me in pineapple express was the fact that they didnt play paper planes the whole damn movie..

Dark Knight 9/10 simply kick ass.

Saw American gangster on the weekend to. Awsome movie as well, Denzel is the fucking Boss.8.5/10

i dunno man i saw the dark knight and as good as it was, it was wayyyy hyped too much. lets put it this way if heath ledger didnt die, the movie wouldnt have been such a hit, so ill give it an unbiased 8.5

oooooo.... yea i dont know about that... heath ledger had such an amazing performance... whether or not he died wouldnt have changed how well he worked that character...

There Will Be Blood - 9.5

Very interesting, captivating story. Very well put together, as well as a great storyline. Definitely not for everyone, but it you kinda like drama, you will LOVE this. VERY LONG (3+ hours)

I saw batman yesterday - 9

Saw X-files today - 10.10!!!! I fucking loved it! Shouldve been aliens, and I wouldve given it a 12.

well i saw the dark knight like a week ago, and i give it a 9

but the last movie ive actually watched was liar liar for thousandth time last night. 10 for sures

Requiem For a Dream: Directors Cut

11/10. Best cinematography I've ever seen in a film, amazing soundtrack by the Kronos String Quartet, and a horrific story of what lengths humans will go to just to find a little piece of mind.

Well I watch a lot of movies, so I'll do a couple recent ones.

El Infant, this is a french film about a young couple who have a baby out of wedlock. The father is a street punk and cashes in by selling the baby. It's all subtitiles but there isn't much dialouge. 8/10

An American Crime, 6/10 based on a true disturbing story of Sylvia Likens, she was held captive in a basement and tourtred to death. The movie stars Ellen Page(Juno). This is actually the second movie I've seen based on this case, the other one; The Girl Next Door is much more graphic, but I'd give it a 5/10.

The Tracey Fragments 8.5/10 this movie also stars Ellen Page, it's edited very differntly. The movie is almost all split screens, at first it's a little annoying but once you get past the uniqueness of it the technique pays off.

Mama's boy 6/10, john heder, kinda funny.

Love Liza, Philip Seymour Hoffman, 6.5/10 a mildly entertaining movie about a man who loses his wife and then becomes addicted to huffing rc plane fuel. It doesn't really go anywhere, but it's still an alright movie.

Bahahah....

I'd give Pineapple express an 8.5. It was hilarious... but not necessarily as good as Superbad (or

Sarah Marshall... but this one is my favorite from Apatow so far).

Dark Knight? 9.8

Torture, i give it a 7.5/10, good movie, but the last 30 seconds pissed me off

Hard Candy, a 5/10, it had potential but the twists were pretty stupid

Surfs Up, 8/10, i thought it would suck because it was about penguins, but it ruled.

how can you even close to compare sarah marshall with superbad. I give sarah marshall a 3, while superbad easily gets a 10.

21 - 8.5/10 Decent movie, I like anything w/ Kevin Spacey.

Super High Me - 8/10 Pretty funny, slow at times. Watch it stoned, much better.

what? did you even watch sarah marshall? that movie was hilarious, i laughed my ass off. the british dude was epic. i give sarah marshall a 7, superbad gets a 10.
