I am most likely going to buy these skis in the next couple months, does anyone know anything about them?

They're really light, a kid at Marble has them, they're his first ever twintip ski, he just started this year and he was throwin lincolns the other day and he posted a movie on facebook in which he did a small rodeo 5. He totally shreds on them and they are still in good shape.

yeah i have seen them before too in the 171..i think the JR ski is the "fly" correct me if i am wrong though..

i dunno i would say if your not a super agressive skier and its a good deal go for them.. and then again if they break fast i would just go back to where you got them from and have them contact salomon or you contact them and tell them that they were a piece of shit and broke.. but i used to use salomon 1080's in a 161 until this season so i was a 5'4" 130lbs agressive skier on them and they never broke..

The Jr is the "Fish"

Plus, this is nothing like the 1080 besides the name. It's a cheap, POS, to get you on the hill. If you ride MAYBE 5-10 days a season and don't hit many rails, you wont have ANY problem with these skis.

But If you actually ride park and want a pair of skis that aren't gonna be destroyed the 100th rail you hit, go with something like the K2 Silencer. I've had a pair of these for 65 days this season and the only thing I've had to fix were a few edge compressions.

Otherwise, buy a real ski.

Oh yeah...

Salomon WILL NOT warranty a pair of skis that show signs of abuse. Warranties are for Manufacturing defects.... That's not hitting a rail and busting an edge or sidewall (which will happen if you ride these skis like a freestyler).

my little brother just turned 13 and he wants rasta everything, but he also has been listening to Bob Marley for years.................

The Thruster is the exact same ski as the old 04/05 1080's.

If you remember the one's with the mech warrior on them, that came in different colors to size.

151-Yellow

161-Green

171-Silver

181-Orange

So in other words, yeah. It's a great ski, go with it. It's a little softer, but will still hold up a hell of a lot better than the Flyers.
