Saying you can't be rasta, cause you're white is like saying you can't be christian cause you're black.

Sure, the original movement might have been against white people, but that was on the surface. it was against oppression.

and just because you're white doesn't mean you can't believe in the same things. sure it might have been aginst white people to begin with, but that doesn't mean their views haven't changed, or that they don't have valid points.

All these rasta kids will give it up when their trust fund runs out and they realize that all their money from the minimum wage job they are working is going to weed and poorly made clothes. The only thing worse than hippies is 20 year old rasta kids who think it is a religion to smoke weed. What they don't realize is that rastafarian ideals are even more far fetched and poorly thought out than mormon ideals.

no, if you work at abercrombie, that probably means you're hot. which, (i don't know if you know what anjelica looks like), she definitly is. That doesn't mean shit though, i know plenty of attractive people who don't have many friends or have been through tons of shit. The place you work at isn't an indication of who you are as a person, it's an indication of either how badly you need a job, or how well you can present yourself to those who are hiring you.

actually, if you check her webshots, you can see a picture of a new Dior (super expensive mega-corporate fashion) line of clothes using all the rasta colors and her talking about how she is in love with it. and yet in this thread, she says how she hates when people wear the colors for fashion. ummmm. dude, if i think about that too hard, my head will explode.

lol no actually the greeks(spartans to be exact) created dreadlocks during the Persian War. The dreadlocks made them look alot more scary with all there armour(hence the dread part)which gave them the phsycological bonus on the field of battle

actually Babylon was modern day baghdad, lying between the tigris and euphrates rivers, most famous leader was Nebacanezer II (sp) conquered the isrealites, then conquered by Alexander the Great and the Greeks while it was under control of the persians
