Rasta color order

ok, this is my last post in here since it's just giving me a migraine. you can worship whoever or whatever you want. but for you to say you're rasta is a little sketch since the majority of the foundation of rasta is really a strong dislike of the white race for oppression. i don't think that spending a couple grand on ski equipment a year is helping out that cause much.

but as i said, i don't care anymore. if you honestly think you're rasta, good for you. but don't get mad at kids for wearing rasta colors because you have been in no way oppressed in your life so you have no reason to be offended.

one last little tidbit, flashing your titties and not having friends doesn't make you more mature than anybody, regardless of what you learned about it. the fact you're bragging about how much more mature you were than your fellow students shows that.
 
i have never been oppressed, but rastas don't hate the white race i and i hate bablyon, which is white society and mainly white government. my and i have already decided that i and i are going to move out of the country after i finish university

I don't see how you can say that you hate white culture when you own all those clothes. the white culture is capitolism, and materialism. if you own that, you must be pretty materialistic and rich.
 
dude i LOVE canada, my king and i are living there this summer, we are prolly going to just camp the whole time or live in his car. in a couple years we are going to move there
 
i spend my money on things i love, i spend my money on things that i want. i haven't bought new clothes in months and i have bought food in 2 months because i was saving up for new skis. i spend my money on things like skiing because it is one of my loves. all of my money i have earned and saved up has been spend on marley posters and my skis. i have been fortunate to be able to save and to buy new skis. i have been blessed by Jah to be able to get new ski clothes and to live as well as i do, but i work for what i have. i sold tams for 2 weeks to buy new ski pants, a\nd i am still selling tams to afford to see my king and go skiing next weekend. and also EVERYTHING in that picture was either given to me or i got cheap to help friends out
 
She's fake, that's why. She doesn't even know what it means to be devoted to a religion. She thinks that if she reads a few books, wears certain colors and talks a certain way, she's then all of a sudden a part of that religion.

Who are any of you to tell someone they are not of a certain faith? You don't know the people you are talking to. Don't consider yourself high and mighty because you don't believe that someone is a stereotypical rastafari. To be apart of a religion is not to live exactly like everyone else of that faith (that is blind dictatorship), it has much more to do with the beliefs and ideals the individual chooses to value and devote their life to.

No, I'm not standing up for her as an individual (not that i have anything against her), I'm standing up for the principle of the matter. I think this thread is absolute bullshit to be criticizing someone for how they choose to live their life. If someone is TRULY part of any type of organized religion, in my eyes, they MUST have to realize how they fit into that mold. Maybe I generalized too much, but I'm trying to say that if you don't question someone else's teaching a little, then you've become just a sheep trying to fit in, rather than actually feeling as though that religion helps you understand and travel through life.
 
i'm not debating her religious beliefs. i'm just mad about her saying it's wrong for people to wear the rasta colors because they aren't the religion. she might very well be rasta, but she is the last person that should be complaining about how somebody wearing a rasta headband offends her religious beliefs.

1080ryebread, i didn't intend to direct my comment towards you... i understand what you're saying and agree to a certain extent, although it's kind of like, when someone sees someone doing something they identify with really strongly (like, wearing ski clothes or something), but the person doing the action obviously doesn't represent what those clothes mean to the observer, it's a little offensive... (piss poor example, by the way)

i read this whole thread through, and i was totally with skiierman, and against skibrdingbitch, but then fireunderwater's comment totally changed my viewpoint. Who is to say she cant be rasta, or she isnt rasta or whatever? let her do her shit. I'm not siding with skibrdingbitch, i still feel she is as dumb as a box of hair, im just sayin that who's to judge who can and who can't be part of a religion.
