Rasta color order

my bob marley poster is green yellow red. and we all know he's the most famous rasta, so it must be right

the ethiopian flag is:

green

GOLD

red

but its getting so gay when kids like you who have no respect for i and i's religion, who are just wearing the colors to be "cool" when i doubt you have any fuckin idea what the colors even mean.

^basically, but its more complex than that. its a way of life. and as long as you have the RIGHT colors then i think that you will be ok

word to skiboardingbitch it is a religion all you fool rep the colors because you think it means you smoke chron or because u see t repin it

word to that. that shits a life style and not just some cool little color thingy

rastafari is never talked about as an "ism" like rastafarianism, or even rastafarian. like i and i aren't called rastafarians, i and i are rastafari or rastas

yeah yo i always though it went green, yellow, red... but who cares if it goes red or green first, just as long u have yellow in the middle i think its all good

jews are pretty cool, I think i'm going to start repping the jewish star on my head, even though I know nothing about the religion.

Oh and I'm sure Ashley Battersby and even you know what it's about? You are a sheep along with the other white kids that wear them. If you don't rep the rasta then disregard the sheep comment.

first off, its green on top, then yellow, then red.

secondly, i have a rasta headband and an armband and im probably getting the line tshirt. i know about haile selassie and most of the philosophies and beliefs of the religion. if somebody wants to wear a rasta headband or a cross, regardless of what they know about the religion, who are you to tell them not to?

I think she's mad at the people who wear them and say "This represents weed" that's like wearing a jewish star around your neck and saying "this represents being good with money"

No she isn't and that's why her statement pisses me off soo bad. It is probobly the most fake, ignorant and well frankly the dumbest comment I've heard on this site that was actually posted to be taken seriously or to prove a point.

totally head on.

should we give some sort of test or exam for people to be able to wear a religious symbol? would that keep you from being offended?

oh ya, you aren't rastafari, and neither am i. but i like repping it because i like some of the fundamental ideas that make up the religion. do you think every person walking around with a cross or rosary is some devout saint? no, but sometimes people just get comfort from it.

actually i do worship jah, and H.I.M. and Marcus Garvey.

I don't rep the colors very often because i don't like telling everyone that i am rastafari, or want people to think i rep the colors for the wrong reasons, such as to "be cool", i rep the colors when i have had very moving days, where i have truely felt jahs love.

i have talked to ashley about her wearing the colors, she wears them because she is aztec and from what i am told the colors are aztec. she is VERY religious, she is Catholic.

the pope and the catholic religion expecially the vadicant( sp??) city are babylonian. the city is babylon.

No, you don't. Do not even try to sound like you do. You didn't even capitalize Jah which is an obvious sign he doesn't mean much to you. It's little signs like those added to big signs like oh... Ummm... you don't have a fucking clue what you are talking about that just show you are fake and shouldn't try to defend yourself any further.

ya i don't type out everything on a forum correctly, like i haven't stated using MI instead of me or my, or di. or using i and i instead of we. because its to difficult with my learning disorder to switch back and forth like when i actually have to write real papers, like i have to do all the time here in college. like when i am talking with my king, him and i use i, but i don't do it on this cause none of you guys would understand me. and i never really spend the time to capitalize shit i should

wow what the fucks your problem, you are so un execpting of others religions and cultures, and i am not retarded you fucking asshole i have a learning disorder, so FUCK OFF. and you are the lowest person on earth if you do have a problem with people with mental retardation

heres the deal its all about religion its

green= land most important

yellow= people

red=blood of the people lesser important

however the bobo shanti( more radical group not in good way) make th flag

red

yellow

green same meanings

no it's gold which represents the wealth of the people. and red, black and green represents liberation, where black represents the color of africans skin

Two things:

1. You are NOT Rasta, only think you are.

and...

2. Does this learning disability lead to you posting pictures of yourself flashing on the internet for all to see?

who the fuck are you to judge who i worship? you can't determine my relationship with my god.

also that was 5 years ago when i HIGHLY doubt you were even on this site. i am over the whole video thing, its pretty sad when its the only insult you have

the only reason id ever wear the red, yellow, and green stripes is to represent safe and controlled intersections.

Bahahaha, you know you sound like one of those celebrities on t.v. that all of a sudden say that they are devoted to the Kabbalah? You better check yourself and realize who you really are.

P.S. It was way less than 5 years ago...

word dude haile selassie was a great leader of ethiopia and botught them through troblesum times hile im not rastafari i respect the religion more than almost any other religion

Colors: The defining colors of the Rastafarian religion are red, gold, and green. These colors were taken from the Garvey movement. The color red symbolizes the blood that martyrs have shed in the history of the Rastas. The yellow represents the wealth of the homeland. Green represents the beauty and vegetation of Ethiopia, the promised land. Sometimes black is used to represent the color of Africans, to whom 98% of the Jamaicans are descended.

boom so i was pretty sure i was right so i looked it up were boyth right http://religiousmovements.lib.virginia.edu/nrms/rast.html#colors

its not something i regret doing, i have grown as a person from then. i didn't havea single friend for like 4 years because of it and got sexualy harrassed every day for 4 years because of it. it made me independant and not grow up, i was far more mature for my age at 16 then most 19-20 year olds. i would not be as strong as i am today for it. i have become desensatized to cruelities and name calling, it doens't effect me anymore, nothing any of you can say on here will EVER be as bad as the shit i was put through in high school. you are all such fucking assholes who know nothing, like that because of the fucking video and not having friends in high school i experiencest FAR MORE then any of you will EVER go through, like having a fucking gun held to my HEAD, or being raped, ya fuck all of you for trying to give me shit for the video. i am over it, i have seen the hardships caused by it but i have also seen the good. since then i have fallen in love with my king and my king has shown me JAH and the amazing religion of Jah Rastafari. Jah watches over me now, and protects me, i no longer get mad or pissed, or stressed. i see jah in my every day life, he is my protecter and brought my king and i together.

and this is why grls don't show guys their boobs
