your comment is invalid because....

you don't play .rar files. you have to unrar them because they are compressed and then you can play them. winrar has absolutly nothing to do with playing anything

..uhh no they aren't. just because there are more programs to open rar files with, doesnt mean its more supported. actually, it could mean its less supported, considering if one program did it good enough people wouldn't need to make more. right? right.

*.rar is a type of compression, similar to *.ace, *.zip, *.001 etc..

A rar file is a compressed version of another file, of any media type.

SO yeah. as said above - get winrar, install, open, extract the *.rar file you have and then go to the extracted folder and play your mp3.

It's a really useful program, everyone should get it.

Flac files are just lossless audio

You either need to get the codecs for it, or convert them

I think VLC player will support it
