Maaaannn this has been a really crappy start to the season. There's a serious lack of snow (in lots of places not just here in the Okanagan), my hill was supposed to open on Nov. 27th but they still need 40+ cms of snow to open anything. Every once in a while mother nature teases us with a bit of snow and cold temperatures but then the next day its above zero and raining!!!! And to top it all off, when i got home today my mom told me that her and my dad got invited on a cat skiing trip in Fernie in January that they dont have to pay for (the company my uncle works for paid or somthing) I'm soooooo jealous.!!!!!!!! ARRRRRRG!!!!!!

That sucks man I have ben fairly lucky with an on schedule opening and a decent base. Tell your parents that when they go on the cat trip that they should help finance for a trip for you to keystone at the same time. Best of luck with your mountain man. +vibes
 
Yeah, this is bullshit. Silverstar needs 40cm minimum and there's no real snow in the forecast. But the webcam shows it's snowing right now.

that sucks man, i take it your mountain doesnt make its own snow. Thats shitty and awesome at the same time. My hill is 99% man made snow the whole time they are open we hardly ever get snow, i wish i could get some turns in on so natural pow. its like a double edge sword, we can make snow whenever its cold enough so we dont have to wait for snow, but those of you at hills where you do have to wait its just that much sweeter for you when you finally do get to ski you dont have all the ice and other crap to deal with know what i mean? i dunno.hopefully you'll get to shred b4 to long we opened earlier than ever b4 the day before thanksgiving it was awesome. everyone was trying new shit and getting it clean, so epic. progression ftw
