jesus christ those of u who just keep ranting about random shit that pisses them off, for the love of God, fucking stop. i dont want to mention neone in particular (quinny) but there are some of you who just start a thread with a post so long that 83% of the people who reply to it either didnt bother to start reading it or got some way into it and thought of a good insult for u but realizing that there were still 32 paragraphs left, decided to abandon thier reading and make the post. i realize that the previous sentence was probably the opitamy of a run on sentence but who cares i mean this is a rant and thats what you do when you rant u just keep talking and saying shit that no one is going to read and dont care about so u keep typing and end up not putting ne periods in becuase you have another dumb idea that pops into your head before u finish the sentence so instead of fininshing it u keep writing and this happens during ur whole entire post. i realize that compared with the rants of some (quinny) this is really short but i acutally want some peopel to get to this point in the post so im trying to keep it breif.

a forum is suposed to stimulate conversation, not someone writes an essay and everyone either says "yay" or "your gay". keep your shit concise and to the point. its annoying when there is an issue u wanna comment on but the fucking post is like 5000 words.

I’m flattered. A whole thread in NSG just for me! A few points:

1) I rant for my own satisfaction. It’s a great way for me to vent and I enjoy it. Its an outlet.

2) With that in mind, I don’t care if people read it or not. I write for me, not for you.

3) I don’t care if people agree with me or not. I’m not trying to convince people of anything.

4) If you find my thoughts interesting, great! Post about it and we can have a conversation.

5) If you don’t want to read it, then don’t! Its not like you are being forced to browse NS.

If people like my rants, thats great. If they don’t, I’m not going to lose sleep over it. Its my screen name and I’ll do what I want. You are right, message boards are supposed to simulate conversation. Guess what, this thread is a response to mine. Congratulations! You have just started a conversation. Its interesting to see my ranting has some kind of impact. Oh wait, I guess that kinda deflates your point. Too bad.

I don’t care if you have some vendetta with me. Thats your deal. But don’t try and start shit, its not nice. I’ll do what I want with my opinions, thank you.

I’m going to pass on that. Making something short just for the sake of being short impedes my thought precess. My posts are long because I am expressing myself the way I want to. If you find my writing interesting, then it shouldn’t be that hard to read through it. Reading shouldn’t be a chore to begin with. You are on a message board. People communicate by reading and writing. With that in mind, its ironic that you don’t appreciate long posts. Longer posts tend to have more depth, more details, and more thought provoking material, thus elevating the conversation. Length can be your friend.
