last week i skiied 5 beautiful days in colorado at steamboat (2 pow days and the rest groomers). i get home really late monday night and ended up going skiing with a few friends last night. 4th run of the night at my small hill in connecticut i catch an edge on an s rail and flip backwards off it and land on my shoulder and hit my head. i skiied to the lift where my friends were waiting and then i was passing out and shit and had to go to the hospital. Soo.. broken collarbone and mild concussion. im done for the season after 5 days and my senior year is fucked. fml

sorry man, but it happens to a lot of people. one of my friends broke his collarbone, and won't be getting to up skiing for a while.

+vibes though

that doesnt sounds like a season ending injury... just let it heal and you should be back in a few weeks. and dull those edges to prevent that from happening again.

i went to the orthopedist this morning and the bone is almost completely broken in 2 pieces in the xray and he said i couldnt ski until march if i was lucky which is the end of my season here on the east coast

Bummer dude, yeah that S-Rail can be a bitch, its one of the most frustrating rails I've been on. Hope you get better in time for some Spring-time fun at Sundown. +vibes.

I don't see any reason why you couldn't ski because of a collar bone. Just take it easy and don't ride park for a bit. My collar bone was broken and dislocated from mountain biking and I still rode after. Just no DH or jumps for about 3 or 4 weeks and probably 6 for full 100 percent recovery. One word of advice tho make sure you rehab your injuries!

youll be back before the seasons over. the way i see it doctor talk to skier talk ratio 1 season out according to the doctor is roughly 3-4 weeks skier talk. just dont think about skiing for those 3-4 weeks. youll be back. +v
