Did you check all your jacket pockets or whatever garment you might have worn when putting the sled away?

Hanging on a nail in the shed or wherever you store it? Sucks man, I do this shit all the time, usually with tools or some piece of work related material.

I've been to Sugarbush twice. The first time a member of my group tore their acl on the first day, cutting things short.

Was just back there this week. Can you guess what happened? On the first day of riding a member of our group tore their acl, cutting the trip short.

True. It’s just disappointing because for the last 2 months my expectations have been so much higher based on what his best friend was saying. Like from what my friends told me, this friend said my bf had a plan and he was going to do it. But from talking to my bf that was NEVER the case. So for the last 2 months I thought we were much farther along in our relationship than we really are. Were are not on the same page anymore and now have to figure out how to get back on the same page, if we even can. All because his friend let me to think something was coming.

I can’t even be mad at my boyfriend. This is all on his friend and me for buying into it and getting my hopes up. I just don’t know how to dial back my expectations because for the last 2 months I’ve been thinking about getting engaged, moving in, etc. and we’re not even there yet. I have to take a step back to get to where he is or he has to take a step forward and thats not easy. This was all totally avoidable if his friend didn’t tell my friends a proposal was coming at Christmas.

Friend sounds toxic, maybe he wants you to break up. If you’re going to get married you gotta be able to trust your partner with all of your worst feelings insecurities etc. It only gets harder from here when you pick a partner it will never last if either of

you are relying on 3rd party back channels for communication you need to have absolute transparency and absolute trust or you shouldn’t get engaged.

Can't stand people who make indirect probing questions into your finances when you buy or do something "expensive". The kinda questions that are clearly coming from an area of "well if you had money to do that, why couldn't you do this or help out with this". Piss off, it's none of your business. If you want a handout, ask for it directly and quit trying to guilt trip me into doing something.

Not exactly the whole side...

The "plug" that blew out isn't structural (apart from keeping air in the plane). Still a very bad look for boeing though

meant to say that but felt like if i said plug people wouldnt have gotten what i was saying. I do have to agree that saying " the whole side" was exagerating tho

in stronger economic times, someone would have spent the extra money but they didn’t. bidens economy saves lives

Poor little Alaska air couldn't afford their maintenance bill because people aren't buying enough upgrades!

Thanks Obiden

Dogs don't fucking belong on airplanes

No, your dog is not "working"

No, you are not entitled to a free 2nd seat for your "therapy" dog

You want to travel with your two shithounds? Well you can fucking drive

The entitlement of young american dog owners is insufferable

They're the worst, I'm severely allergic to dogs and it can make long flights a living hell for me

if its the same as buildings, the ada doesnt recognized emotional support dogs as qualifying for a service dog and the protections of the ada laws. under the ada companies can ask only 2 questions. 1 is the dog a service animal required because of a disability. if yes, 2 what work or task is the dog trained to perform? a lot of people just air on the side of caution and just dont ask. people are so quick to say ‘you cant ask me that’ now you cant ask what the persons disability is but you can ask the others.

I’ve seen a lot of fake service dogs on my last few trips to the states (dobermans and pit bulls that still had their balls wearing vests). I don’t know why people can’t go 2 hours without their dogs

I'm only mildly alergic to them. But i hate having to share my very limited space with somebody's fake service pet

I don't understand why Americans at large (big businesses, universities, etc.) have just decided to play along with this shit. Service dogs are for blind people and maybe seizure help. Not for panic attacks, not for anxiety, not to remind you to take your medicine

i hate when people replace having kids with dogs. it's creepy. and pit bulls should be banned obvssss

I have friends who literally value their dogs life over themselves or their wife/husband. That’s what they say at least. Same friends also find it disgusting that the police use dogs because it puts the dog at risk. Like, better a dog than a person go sniffing around for bombs.

Covid denier or not I think most people just want to return to normal life which means not canceling your life when you aren't feeling 100%. Do you do covid tests any time you feel slightly under the weather?

Wiping out half the workforce because they died or because they called in sick?

genuinely pathetic how many people are still scared of covid. getting sick sucks but it's a natural thing and you need to just deal with it, no one owes it to you to shut down their lives, miss school/work/vacation so that you don't have to be inconvenienced.

literally can't believe people are still talking about it. lmao kids at my school missing a whole week when they don't even feel sick. losers.

Testing for me personally? No. Because it presents its symptoms similar to the common cold and I wouldn't want to waste my local healthcare systems time and resources for actual emergencies vs. them telling me "You have the Flu" or "You have a cold" because thats how still common it is whether people like it or not. The fact that we all have to take 10-days quarantine still which is 10 days worth of wages is totally fucked imo. When you factor that into a resort worker wage, that puts a lot of people in a shitty spot. Not everyone has a Trustfund.

And there hasn't been such thing as a normal life since 2019 so I think we should all just get over that at some point.

I get that it sucks that you have to quarantine for 10 days if you get covid, but just like you most people aren't getting covid tests every time they aren't feeling great. This isn't covid deniers bringing covid to your resort it is everyone.

Also, at this point 10 day quarantine seems very unnecessary and your employer should revisit that.

You can get at home covid tests for free rn. My mom sent me 4 of them about a month ago.

genuinely starting to get pissed about my skis getting stepped on. at mad river there's a 90% chance it's either a 5 year old or my brother so it doesn't matter but im lowk excited for mlk day at sugarbush, im definetly gonna yell at some people ? it's just stupid because packing in as tightly as you can in the line does not get you to the lift faster. chill outtt.

You'll get 100x more topsheet damage from hitting rails regularly than people stepping on them. I've become quite apathetic about it as I've gotten older

You should check out Bittersweet. People who are old enough to know and do better will ski right over your gear.

Aah, the classic weak excuse to reach out followed by an unprompted life is hard update. Wash rinse and repeat with this one. Emotional boundaries people! They matter!

yeah it's more the principle of it. im fine with getting topsheet damage from actually skiing, or even if someone chill accidentally steps on my skis, but it's when these out of state bozo jerries incessantly creep forward in the line onto my skis despite there being no reason to move. it's never bothered me as much before, maybe now that i've started buying my own skis i notice it more.

I don't really care about my shit getting stepped on but I agree about lines. People are fucking stupid. I get a line is long and you're bummed, but breathing on the person in front of you doesn't get you there faster. The delay is whatever the wait is not the distance. I've had to grill people in airports before. Waiting to check a bag and dude behind is breathing in your ear like bro, there's 7 people in front of me regardless of how close we are. It's 20 feet total, those few steps are easy, fuck off.

People do it everywhere though. Its like a 3 year old understanding of the world and how to deal with frustration.

Hell people do it in traffic jams. If you're on the highway and 10 miles from an exit you're in it. Sometimes driving a stick I don't feel like puling up 2 feet at a time. But people will lose their minds and blast the horn if there's a 4 foot gap between you and the next car. Like bro, i will absolutely move up but it makes no difference if i move 6 inches at a time or when there's 10 feet. Same amount of cars.

People have no concept of how lines work and straight lizard brain that shit.

cased a snowmaking mound tryna three from one to another and double ejected td. Landed with my knee on a ski and i’ve got the nastiest bruise and a small cut. practice tmr isn’t gonna be fun

I used miles to upgrade to American main cabin extra recently. That was my seat. That would be horrifying.
