Set up my account for the credit union that I financed my car with and seeing the total amount hurted a little. Went pretty long with never having a car payment but all things come to an end sometime
 
potentially tore something in my wrist today racing, have to see a other this week. what a way to disappoint myself, boat and prospective college coaches, then have to hear about how i wasted my dads weekend and mad him miss a meeting to see me get hurt in a 12 minute race. stg each day makes me more miserable to be around

Not gonna lie, that's a super shitty thing to say to your kid. Bummer. Sucks you got hurt, hopefully all good and dont need any surgery or long down time to fix it.

All the new fast and the furious movies were shit but decided to watch "fast x" on a flight.

I can't recommend any of the new movies but this was one of the worst things I've ever seen.

Crazy the first film is actually very watchable and how bad it got. I'd 2say 1, 3, maybe 2 and all the rest are unwatchable.

I don't understand how the franchise got so big with such shit movies.

They’re good because they’re so bad I’ve honestly never laughed so hard at a move than I did at fast 6 in theater. They aren’t supposed to be comedies though lol

True. I think even the first is like that. Some pretty epic line worth quoting. I think the "everyone from every action movie, explosions absurd heist" thing kinda wasnt my jam. I mean sure they were jumping onto trucks in the first one but it loosely had toes to racing.

Then they went completely off the fricken rails and I haven't watched anything past 4? Maybe 5. I think at this point it's more of a joke and they keep making money so they keep making them lol.

Having a hell of a day at the moment. Woke up at 245 am for my first flight leaving New Zealand. Went to Sydney, then connected through Vancouver. Barely barely made my flight.

Can't use my phone other than wifi because my sim car got deactivated because i didnt have a plan for a couple months of the season while in NZ.

Made it back after everything. Was stoked to get home. Brake line went on car. No Im stuck near Seattle with no working vehicle, no phone, can't get new sim card at walmart because can't drive.

Not great. Think im just gonna have to buy something around here and hope it's decent.

Pretty stressful day or 2 with no real good plan. Don't know anyone with an extra vehicle out here. Fuck. Hopefully I figure something out. Open mic in enumclaw tonight would have been sick to see people but cant drive. Spent from travelng so just don't even know where to start.

got a brace tho and i’m seeing a ortho for a real appt tmr morning, kinda fucked my training plan for this next month of two a day ergs in a effort to knock 15-20 seconds off my 2k for the two colleges i’m reaching for

i feel similar with my truck. I guess its not terrible to have a good credit score but being a part of the generation where housing and mortgages are outrageous, it feels like it really doesn't matter if you have a solid score because you're still going to get gouged which I dont think is much better than having too low of a score to qualify for anything. I get that its based off of ones ability to be on-time with payments but it all just seems like bullshit and just numbers on a screen/paper.

Only good tasting candies from america that i have eaten are Reeses and Swedish fish. Nothing will ever beat Swedish and Finnish candy.

Don't have an extra for ya but I'm in Seattle till around 9 tomorrow morning. My car is parked at a friend's shop until I head out but can get you a ride in the morning if you're still needing help.
 
Real talk, whats the solution for people running out of medications and/or completely out of their medications and having to wait an upwards of 3-4 months at the earliest to see a doctor and get things re-prescribed????? Do we show up to the ER and claim we're gonna kill ourselves if we don't get our meds? Honestly what a broken system.

It shouldn’t be that long of a wait to see a general practitioner type of doctor. Heck I’ve even had scripts written by nurse practitioners and physicians assistants plenty of times. I’ve absolutely had to wait 1-2 months to see a specialist many times though

This. You should be able to find a short-term GP to get your shit filled out (our hospital system has short term GPs for this exact reason, and they get you set up with a long term one). Next best is to see an UC. Either will be able to review your medical history and prescribe meds until you find a long-term GP. Do not go to the emergency room though. It's clogged up and will be far more expensive.

I'm a terrible skater so I can speak too much about the park lol, and Burien definitely has its fair show of street characters lol.

But overall it's pretty chill and mostly affordable. Big immigrant population from all over so we do got pretty much every type of cuisine

Really not that bad (yet) compared to history for rates. Current rate is 8.1% for 30yr fixed. Many generations were worse off. Lol to all the scrubs with variable rates.

Don't quote me but I think we ARE worse off for the amount of new lower cost homes being built. Inflation doesn't help either— even with 2-4% raises, my purchasing power is less than when I started my job in 2016.... If you want a house sub 200k, you gotta look in the hood or the boonies or live in a shack and even that's not good enough in many places....and the majority of new homes are in HOAs so add that to the cost (fuck HOAs).

You're gonna see tons of people with similar incomes to you in homes you can't afford. That's because they bought when interest rates were a steal, maxed out their DTI, had to buy PMI, and maybe even renting out rooms/basement to cover their costs (not factored in). They might have had support for a down payment from family too. It's nearly impossible to find an Airbnb in some cities that isn't an in-law suit (lol slc).

Tbh I find it crazy what some people pay for homes compared to their incomes. It's almost unsustainable as the rent increases that forced me to buy a home.

Same goes for cars. My coworker told me he pays $800/mo for his car that he put 20k down ?....that's more than I paid for my car lol.

To get a home unfortunately people are gonna need to make some compromises and that might even mean living elsewhere. We can't all live in our dream locations. Your doc is supposed to see you at least annually to maintain writing rxs for you. If they can't accommodate an appt, I've never had an issue with them writing me an rx that covers the time until my next appt. If the doc retires, dies, or leaves the practice, someone else should pick up that duty. The only time they may refuse a patient is when it is the patient who keeps missing appointments.

Don't go to the ER unless you are having a crisis. You might get lucky and find some dumbass resident who will write a 30+ day supply but likely chance is you get a few days to none. Waste of money when you can just pop into your pharmacy and ask for an emergency supply (usually a couple days til you can reach your doctor). If you're admitted to a hospital however, on discharge they will write enough to get you to the appointment if that is your primary reason for being admitted. You don't get admitted just to get refills tho so don't misunderstand that statement.

What's your specific story/reason for not being able to? That's kind of unusual for a gap and inability to get a prescription written, unless it is a controlled substance.

The crazy thing about that is that it's not even legal to rent out an ADU nightly in SLC. Keep that in mind the next time an airbnb host tries to stick you with an extra cleaning fee

Trying to write grants for my outdoor club for trips/outings, along with to get the rowing club new singles and doubles for the men’s team this spring and holy shit the amount of paperwork and red tape!!! No wonder sm grant and scholarship money goes un claimed or contested. Most of this shits a pain in the ass. Very well worth it but a pain non the less

fuck who ever downvoted this. keep writing grants son! occasionally ill volunteer and write grants on behalf of local nonprofits like mountain bike associations. its a valuable skill that you can use to support and grow your hobbies at a local level. dont stop!!
