I quit a little over 5 years ago. I miss chewing while working in the park honestly, but I don't miss smoking cigs anymore.

It's tough though. I quit for 6 months at one point and started again with people at work.

Very true, but most people don't dedicate more than ~15-20 minutes at most to reading the news. If I were to choose one source it'd be foreign.

If it was multiple it'd be a combo of the BBC, NYT, WSJ, FT, and the WaPo. You have the BBC for the foreign perspective, WSJ and FT for the more fiscally conservative perspective, and the NYT and WaPo for the more liberal perspective.

The issue is that our current generation chooses to seek out those biased agenda-ridden sources as news. I totally get we all don't have the time to sit down and get right down to the molecular level so to speak when it comes to topics/issues/subjects of all sorts, but its not entirely possible to find information about things for what its actually worth, We all do it in school with research papers when we cite scholars/journals/experiments/etc., so why can't we all do the same when it comes to issues that effects just about any living breathing human? I think a lot of us are way better than choosing to be ignorant because we have a hard time getting down to the bottom of things. It just seems like a cop-out.

But you don't have to spend an hour every night watching CNN or fox. Watching the news on tv is not the only way of being informed, nor is it the best. We don't even have cable at my place, but it takes me maybe 15 minutes daily to hit my bookmark for Google news and see what's going on in the world.
