Fuck shitty TA's who don't take their jobs seriously and fuck unhelpful professors. My lab TA is fucking retarded, showed up to lab late every week and never inputted any grades into our system until 3 days ago.

We have to submit our labs in two formats .xlsx and .txt. We use an app called UBlearns and the syllabus says to upload each file to UBlearns. So this entire semester I have been uploading them there. Turns out the .txt file was supposed to be handed into another website that the TA should have been emailing us links to(even though there was also a section on UBlearns to hand in the .txt files). I was never on her email list though so I never uploaded them to the right website. So I've been getting 0s on labs because they weren't handed in to the correct place.

So I email my TA 3 days ago about an hour after the grades were submitted, still haven't gotten a response. I email my professor, tells me to email the lab professor. I email her and she tells me to email my TA but my TA hasn't responded. So basically I'm fucked.

Not sure if it's my fault. I went to every lab and handed every one of them in on time but was never told about this email list or this other website. The syllabus is clearly wrong. Plus our grades are supposed to be updated within 2 weeks of handing in a lab which never happened. If she would have been giving us our grades on time I would have been able to at least fix the rest of the labs instead of doing every single one wrong. It's just fucking stupid.

Really fucking sucks because I got an A in lecture but with 0s in lab I'm gonna fail lab which means I'll get an F for the class unless they go back and fix something.

lol what. Nothing like this has ever happened before with a TA or professor or really anything? I don't know what post you are referring to. Apparently the same thing happened to 7 other people in my lab. The TA didn't update the email list correctly and several people weren't added to it. But whatever.

Lol yeah its 100 percent my fault that my old roommates are shitty people who do shitty things. Yup. Can't argue that.

everyone knows white girls are terrible at accountability. Also, if you definitely didn't fuck up, why are you even worried. Go to your dean, file complaints with your student union, etc. If you were in the right, there are ways you can use that.

I just finished the stupid SBAC test and on my long answer questions I shat all over them for making a test that doesn't matter and that were taking them a week before finals and made up stories. Its a full day of no class but sucks

Wawa! Fuck you and your delicious subs. Keep getting delayed leaving PA. Saying " I want to get back to NY" Isn't something I've really said often but I want to get my car inspected now that the engine light is off and do some adk hiking.

I love cracking beers and enjoying nature, but make sure you clean up after yourself. its kinda lame seeing smashed bottles and cans because people are lazy and don't want their stuff to smell like booze or whatever dumb reason it is.

The WORST

Had this place in high school called 9 corner lake. Not a huge hike, maybe a mile tops and pretty easy. Anyway it was kind of a chill spot/party spot sometimes. Had a rope swing, nice clear water, and all that.

Anyway would see a bunch of beer cans, smashed glass, trash, all over sometimes. I fucking hate that shit. I hate littering in general but why do it in nature?

They should come up with some really harsh and or amusing penalties for people who litter in national parks and otherwise nice ass areas.

My car over heated on tour a few years ago in virginia. Pulled to the left side of the road to let it cool down. Was in full on stopped traffic and I guess it's always bad for traffic. Anyway I got out of the car and I was walking on a carpet of cigarette butts. I couldn't believe how many there were. Like everybody in that traffic chain smoked cigs and threw them along that section.

Idk, littering bothers me more than a lot of other stuff. Just comes down to the fact that people have no respect for the environment or the people around them. The world is there's and they can fuck it up as they please.

Today while I was working there was a mom, her son, and another woman(possible sister or friend). Her son was about 7 maybe 8. I don't know all of what happened, but I heard the loudest smack I've never heard in my life followed by this little boy's cry and him screaming that he was sorry. We heard another smack and then a punch and his crying stop on a dime.

My manager rushed over and a coworker and myself followed. The other woman was just sitting there like she didn't see anything. The mom was just staring at her son with a "quit the act" kind of look on her face, sat back down and continued to eat her food. This woman had just knocked her son out cold in a public cafe(during our lunch rush) and was acting like nothing happened.

When the cops/ambulance showed up, the boy had regained consciousness. The saddest part was when he was getting wheeled away by the paramedics all he did was cry for his mother, who showed no sign of guilt or anything for what she did. She was arrested and the other woman left the cafe...Didn't even go on the ambulance with this boy or anything.

I don't understand how people are so aggressive and abusive to kids. Discipline is one thing, but physically harming and putting your kids in the hospital is fucking ridiculous. I don't know exactly how cps handles stuff like this, but I hope this little guy never has to go through something like this ever again.

nah I get unusually bothered by people that don't respect national forests, parks/natural monuments, and shit like that, and even places that are like local smoke/hang out spots that get destroyed. lots of smoke shacks I frequent when I ski get trashed by people, and its really the main reason why I never disclose their locations unless im with trustworthy friends or people. not that im some asshole, I just don't want cool places that people enjoy getting fucked over. Patrol does tear down shacks if the littering gets out of control.

its even more annoying in larger places like parks and forests, though. people just don't give a shit anymore. national parks, forests, all that stuff just doesn't interest people, I feel like. only the ones who spend time outdoors really value what it means to be able to go on a hike or go skiing in such pretty landscapes.

kinda pisses me off seeing that stuff, even if its not my land. Just goes to show that officer feels he is above the law, can do no harm, and is saving the world one speeding ticket at a time. What a fucking asshole, people bust ass to get that land all ready for growing season so they can have a food supply or money down the road, and you completely disregard the fact that its A) Private property, and B) their livelihood. so I guess at my job now, when we close out our tills on our cash registers and we are over and under, we can get written up and/or fired for it if its an occurring issue.

I mean, yeah, if you were trained somewhat extensively, and still get it wrong, there maybe an issue, but to punish people, especially new employees because they are struggling a bit in the learning process is a bit extreme, I think. Instead of threatening someone's job for doing a task incorrectly, how about you just show them how to do it instead? obviously there are issues if its an occurring issue, and you were shown multiple times, but to hang that over employees heads is kinda fucked up, I think.

oh well, ticking away the days till the chairs are spinning again, I guess.

At the place I work at theres a similar policy. You get +/- $3 difference and anything more you can get in trouble for. This is our policy so that people aren't stealing money out of the registers; its not to punish people for fucking up the change on accident.

Idk, the news feed took a dive hard in the last year. I see no reason to leave facebook because all my shits been on there for 10 years, and it's good for networking/finding people when I'm roadtripping. But I'm really using it less and less. Might get a smartphone now because facebook doesn't have much temptation. That said I'd probably replace it with NS. But that's not so bad

All my friends are garbage lol. I don't even know who a lot of them are. People add me and well have 30 mutual friends so they probably really do know me, but I don't remember 95% of the people I meet. That's probably a low estimate. So Ive been unfollowing, then we can still be friends but they don't have to show up in my feed.

Also fuck this trend of trying to put people into my life to see what I'll do. Somebody that I've been friends with on facebook since 05-07, never talked to once on there, and was never really that close with, in high school anyway. Why the fuck would I care about some stupid post they made now. Why the fuck does facebook have to do the double whammy on them as well. Every dumb piece of shit that posts something, get's not 1 but call in the next 10 minutes and we'll double your ofer. That's right 2! stupid fucking posts in my news feed that's all stupid fucking posts.

I might just make another facebook, and add people I like, then check the other occasionally to see if anyone is trying to get a hold of me for anything important.
 
i'm taking the trash out after cooking last night. I open the door to our "storage closet" where we & our neighbors keep our trash receptacles...

My roommates did not take out the trash last week, so we have 9 bags of trash. in addition, they didn't tie any of the bags they took out. So i'm outside, it's 11PM, I've just spent three hours cooking for the week and I haven't eaten dinner yet, and I'm picking up trash on the ground barehanded. Myself and my roommate clean the kitchen and do everyone else's dishes while the other three get stoned. our apartment smells like someone died in the kitchen. My feet are sticking to the floor. The lack of general awareness of clean cooking/eating conditions is laughable at this point.
 
It's after 9 and I'm still up. I slept a little big the night before last. Zombie mode a little though.

Supposed to get sleep so my shitty brain is less shitty but I'm all messed up sleep schedule wise.

Stayed up a bit to wait for an email that I didn't get, and then make a call that didn't reach the person. Pretty much failing in general and stressing bullshit.

I need to hear back from people so I can determine what the fuck I'm doing this summer and get a plan on the road. Im pretty open either way but this not knowing thing isn't cool.

had a massive church group come through work today to go do a bunch of ziplines and stuff. I personally do not care what groups come through, cuz its all the same money and its all paying for my paychecks, shit like that. but what really bothered me was them posting up with their group like 30-40 people deep and then belting out into a church tune so that literally everyone in the building could hear them. Then proceeding their song, they all said a prayer super loud, then they left. they were nice people, I just didn't find their singing to be appropriate for the setting they were in at all, to be honest.

they purposely sang loud, and to be fair they did sound good, but they belted it out as loud as possible so that everyone in the building had to listen to it, which stems back down to the issue of cramming views down peoples throats, I think. does that seem like an irrational thing to feel? or would you guys feel the same way?

its not technically illegal or against the rules to do that, but its just interesting to me because I guarantee you if the tables were turned, and that same very group was out elsewhere and say a group of muslims, jewish people, or even catholics or something broke out in a prayer, they would be demanding for a manager and would most certainly be offended, so what gives them the right to express their views to people who quite frankly don't give a shit, and just want to have a nice day in the sun? believe what you want, just don't go around doing shit like that, forcing people to hear your views and beliefs.

I personally am christian but would still be bugged by that. There is a time and place to express your faith and that doesn't seem like a very appropriate place to do it.

I just hate obnoxiously loud people. Actually at the christian resort my dad works at, going over to the dining hall there once in a while. It's loud to the point where I dont even want to eat in there. Since my head injury I don't even know if I'd subject myself to that(real sensitive to loud noises now). It's worse than a school cafeteria. These people get a little loud, so you get louder, some other guys get even louder, and then everyones fucking yelling.

Was trying to get a second job at zumiez, my ex knew this and he saw me at the mall interviewing the other day. He just posted on his snapchat story that he just got hired there. Definitely don't want to work with him and I hate that he's on some petty shit. Motherfucker.
 
I hate clingy people. I'm pretty independent and hate when I can't do things by myself. I just want like 2 days to do what I want, how I want without someone all over me. I don't like to rely on others and it stresses me out when people can't do things by themselves and ask me to do things with them. Maybe that is selfish but I just don't see why people can't do their own errands and other basic things by themselves. I love hanging out with people but if were just going to do nothing all day then I would rather get my own work done by myself...

For sure, for the most part we have religious wackjobs comitting what is essentially a genocide, so a bunch of jesus freaks singing songs is probably the least of our worries when peoples heads are being lopped off cuz they have a different way of seeing things.

I go to my uncle today after having noticed a couple large patches of Poison Hemlock around his yard where dirt was just spread (Hauled in from somewhere else) and tell him that he should do something about it before one of the dogs or a little kid decides to start munching on it. Him having the personality he does just shrugs it off and walks away. If it was poison ivy or itchweed it would be one thing but it's f*&king hemlock! Plants can kill. I wish he would just listen to me and spend a couple hours dealing with it before it goes to seed and spreads all over.
 
it is honestly very sad that even grown-ass men and women are teaching their own children that stealing is okay, watched a whole family pull a fast one real good on us today while going through our gift shop, granted it was only a few $2.50 bottles of soda, they grabbed them out of the fridge, walked around with them as they shopped, and then the father got super mad when I brought it up.

whatever, really wasn't worth the effort fighting over 7 dollars worth of cokes when people drop hundreds, even thousands to do shit here. it just bums me out that as a society, we still think its okay to do these kinds of things, and pass them onto our own children. I even find stealing from Walmart and stuff to be fucking greasy. its not the corporation or business you are hurting, its the employees job that you are putting on the line. its definitely easier to say "Go find another job" when you have everything handed to you, so don't give me that shit either.

I agree, The two things I hate most are thieves and lazy entitled people.

That said I wouldn't really get mad at someone who couldn't afford food and stole some. At the same time there are lots of food pantry places where you can go and get stuff for free. also in some areas churches and other groups that do free meals once or twice a week. Also government programs that may not always meet the demand but they're out there. (Unfortunately plenty of leeches riding these as well)

Stealing is weak and I hate how so many people view it as being okay. People feel like the world owes them something and they're entitled to anything and everything because they got dealt a shitty hand in their eyes and life isn't fair.

Everybody's out to get what's theirs and fuck anyone who get's in their way.
 
So I bought a car in mid/late dec and didn't pass NYS inspection. Jumped through a few hoops still didn't work and I took a job in CO anyway so I just left at night and didn't come back. On returning I slipped back in at night and have been driving around all sketched out. Spent most of my time in pa with friends and paying them to do things to my car. Put some decent $$$ and finally got it ready to pass. Drove up to Suffern NY NY/NJ border and went through all the steps to set everything(Doing it in ridiculous traffic on 287 was nuts) but I did it brought it back and the scan tool said I went through everything. Then the guy brings it in and says it won't connect to his machine and to go up to his brothers or cousins midas shop. They say the same thing. I called my buddy in PA he's saying, that it makes no sense unless they broke something. Anyway I go back to whipping around all sketched out. I came back in this last time late night to my parents house. I'm leaving tomorrow morning and decided to give it one more try at the shop across the street from their house.

Thinking it's unlikely to pass. Fucking passes no problem and those assholes I went to before were full of shit. So I was risking a fine that could have been a few 100 bucks because these assholes were assholes.

And the inspection is only $11. I could have easily re registered it in CO while I was there but I really didn't want a CO plate. When you road trip the country constantly and go to lot's of shows and music festivals cops see the CO tags and assume you must be loaded up with weed. NYS isn't special but I figure since I spend part of the year in the northeast seeing music it's decent to keep the NY tags, even if I'm in CO for more than half the year.

Sparknotes: Fuck shitty people. Fuck sketchy mechanics. Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck. PS happy I passed NYS inspection FINALLY.

Spent some $$$$$$$ and jumped through all kinds of hoops but it's on there for another year.
 
my iPhone was working all morning. I set it down, pick it back up to use it, and the screen is black. no response. no sound. Hard-reset does nothing. Chat with Apple support, do all sorts of resets... nothing. I'm without a phone that i use for both work and personal, and the earliest "genius bar" appointment is wednesday. I'm in Boston. There are 1000000 stores. how are all the time slots full?
