Damn I hear you. I was never in the best shape but my head injuries, especially my last two really fucked things up. I'm a lot quicker to just fall down into a deep hole now. At the same time, if you're still able to get out on the slopes that's pretty rad.

I don't get colorado's obsession with flags. Everything has the fucking colorado flag on it. I don't really get the overkill amount of flags anywhere honestly but people in colorado are all " I need everything in the colorado flag color scheme or with that logo on it. I saw a picture from one of the fests here last year or two years ago and there's so many fucking colorado flags flying in the crowd. "Sorry to block you view but I figured in case you forgot what state you were in and couldn't see the other 85 thousand flags in the crowd I'd bring mine to remind you".

When roomates let shit eat at them, even if it's trivial shit without saying anything and then bitch about it like "oh god you've been doing this for a week or so goshhhh". And I'm thinking, this house has been cleaner since I've lived here, I've never left dishes in the sink(only one who doesn't) cleaned the bathroom floor, kitchen floor(shit that I didn't even get dirty) and am a pretty easy going guy but please tell me how the world is ending because I did something that for some reason you didn't like.

Idk, with shit like that if people would just say something. Especially if the other person is pretty open about shit. Then it wouldn't fester until they're so butthurt about it. I think it really just boiled down to people being pissed about other shit and looking to unload it on something else.

A relative of mine is way behind in online school so I offered to help him by creating an assignment plan so he can finish by the 6th of next month. And so far he has done absolutely nothing, and has spent all his time at his girlfriends because she is moving at the end of this month. I honestly don't know how to explain to him that passing English is a bit more important than being with his girlfriend which is one of five he has had in the past year. Any suggestions?

it wont be easy, but he will have to buckle down real Hard on school work. hes gotta realize its either now or never if he wants to graduate.

Not impossible, though. I was in the same Boat last year Before graduation, had to redeem credits loss when i got a concussion a year prior, and was still doing work a week before the commencements. not ideal for your senior year, but its whatever.

You get EVERY FUCKING EMAIL YOU DON'T WANT but when someone friend requests you FB doesn't send a notice to your email and I feel like a dick if I have not been on in a few days and don't confirm it quickly.

I refuse to download the app and shit and just use it in a browser on the phone too.

I really hate how small my school is. There's like 3 other skiers and they're the people who dont really try to progress or ski at every possible minute. Theres also barely any decent looking girls in my school and the okay ones are all taken. Also my school doesn't have a lax team either so i need to find a select team now.

Fucking ridiculous that there's a constitutional amendment about keeping church and state separate but idk how they expect to maintain that without keeping religious people out of the gov't. Also the education system. Making me learn about shakespeare's classics instead of learning how to pay taxes and actually useful shit.

This argument annoys me so much, and I'm yet tomh at it from someone who isn't a lost cause. No, we don't teach you how to pay taxes, but we teach you how to read and once you've learnt that you can google 'how to pay taxes' and find the answer for yourself. As for all the things people say are far less important, like Shakespeare or basic math such as pythag, these are things that will help you elevate yourself as a person. Learn your trig and you can become an engineer, you know, an actually useful member of society. Learn great works of literature because it helps you understand people, and formulate arguments. Simply get taught how to fill in forms and become no different from anyone else. School should be inspiring you, not teaching you to be a loser who can't google. You get out what you put in.

Yeah that's true but I knew how to read in first grade. I knew how to google shit by the time I was 7 years old. Like everything I've ever done that has interested me and may someday get me a job has been my own personal interests, with no inspiration from school. I've done my own research and done what I came to do. I build skis now, but no thanks to school. Everything I've learned about useful stuff happened before 8th grade in school or came from google.

You expect your school to teach you how to build skis? Give me a fucking break.

You learn math so you can do your taxes and balance your check book. It's not rocket science, it's basic fucking arithmetic.

Wood-shop taught you how to use a ban-saw and a planer, so now you can make skis.

English taught you how to read and write you could sound intelligent when you pitch your ski company to an investor.

History taught you to be cultured, to understand the diversity in the world before you and around you.

Your education gave you basic skills and the ability to think deeper and more critically. You want to learn how to do taxes? Go get a tax degree, or pay to have someone do it for you. That's what they're there for.

Holy shit, that argument drives me fucking insane. School is school, stop acting like educators have to hold your hand, or that everything you do in school has to perfectly align you for life outside of school. You take the SATs so you can get into a good college and pursue a higher level of education that will provide you with a degree and qualify you for a specific career path.

Educators shouldn't have to teach you how to do your taxes.

Fuck shitty TA's who don't take their jobs seriously and fuck unhelpful professors. My lab TA is fucking retarded, showed up to lab late every week and never inputted any grades into our system until 3 days ago.

We have to submit our labs in two formats .xlsx and .txt. We use an app called UBlearns and the syllabus says to upload each file to UBlearns. So this entire semester I have been uploading them there. Turns out the .txt file was supposed to be handed into another website that the TA should have been emailing us links to(even though there was also a section on UBlearns to hand in the .txt files). I was never on her email list though so I never uploaded them to the right website. So I've been getting 0s on labs because they weren't handed in to the correct place.

So I email my TA 3 days ago about an hour after the grades were submitted, still haven't gotten a response. I email my professor, tells me to email the lab professor. I email her and she tells me to email my TA but my TA hasn't responded. So basically I'm fucked.

Not sure if it's my fault. I went to every lab and handed every one of them in on time but was never told about this email list or this other website. The syllabus is clearly wrong. Plus our grades are supposed to be updated within 2 weeks of handing in a lab which never happened. If she would have been giving us our grades on time I would have been able to at least fix the rest of the labs instead of doing every single one wrong. It's just fucking stupid.

Really fucking sucks because I got an A in lecture but with 0s in lab I'm gonna fail lab which means I'll get an F for the class unless they go back and fix something.

just get a shitload of beer, drugs, tents/hammocks, find a nice spot in the woods and post up. no need to bring your home with you cuz you're a lazy fat fuck that doesn't want to actually camp.

I got nothin against woodshop.

English taught me how to read and write until like 6th grade now we read old ass books that have no relevance in modern society.

I don't have anything against history, but I have something against learning history in English.

And I never said that I expect my school to teach me how to build skis, I said that building skis is the only thing I'm doing now that might someday get me a job or something, and I don't owe jack shit to school for that.
