Anti rant.
Thank Jebus for pow days, friends, solo runs, and the beauty of nature.
Sometimes that's about it on the + end of the spectrum. A millions things I could rant about at the moment. Lot's of bullshit, lots of stress, but luckily some untracked runs through the woods in good early season snow were there to make things better.

this one bothers me. tons of people that gather right at the top of a jump line just chilling not dropping at all. especially when the park is busy. makes the lane to drop really fucking cluster fuckey. either drop or get out of the way.

I hate my roommates complete lack of understanding about my mental health and how she trivializes my anxiety and depression. She'll bug me to talk to her about whats going on with me, so I eventually give in and make the mistake of talking. About 10 seconds in I watch the switch in her brain flip and now she's not listening anymore, she's waiting for me to stop talking so she can 1 up me.
I honestly don't even know how to explain it in a post. It's like she thinks its cool to have issues. I swear she spends all her time trying to prove to me that her life is so terrible and that she can somehow understand what its like inside my head when it is so obviously not the case. She just craves attention.
I wish I could tell this to her, but then the drama queen will just try even harder to prove to me how awful her life is.
I really miss my step-brothers, they've always been so nice and understanding about this stuff, and have always actively stood by me and helped me out of the worst of it.

But really that sucks man. It grinds my gears when people do shit like that. You don't want to do something, they bug you, you do it, and then they aren't there on their end. From your situation, making plans, whatever.
It's bad when you open up and get a negative reaction from it. It make's you less likely to internalize everything and not open up to anyone. That's not healthy though. Then again, what are you supposed to do if you're not comfortable talking about things with people, or you don't have people that can handle listening without being assholes.
Good luck. Hopefully things balance out with the snow falling. OR at least skiing is an extra crutch toward survival.

Doing a corporate annual report thats due tomorrow by 12. One of the 3 partners already did 17 pages so he passes the rest off to me and this other kid. That kid splits it up and gives me what I have to do. Then he says a forgot to add a few pages so he emailed me pictures of them. Like really? Have you not heard of a scanner? This campus has plenty of them. Now I have to either retype the questions or try and find a way to print the pics as the same size as a piece of paper. Like what the fuck man.

NS is the only social platform I know of that has down votes, which are pretty much "dislikes." Everyone is so obsessed with getting people to push that thumbs up button on their instagram photo or a clever facebook status and I believe that people should be able to dislike whatever they want on whatever social media so the person posting stupid shit can realize that they're stupid. The amount of butt hurt on Facebook or instagram due to down votes would be hilarious. Also, it would keep people's ego's in check. When I post something I think is funny on NS and it gets hella down votes, it makes me think, "hey, maybe im not that funny" or "wow, im better than that stupid post I made."
So NS is pretty much making us better people by allowing down votes. Does anyone agree with this at all? or do i sound like a fuckin idiot?

this stupid fucking teacher teaches Western Civ in college which is by far the most pointless GE in the world. Lectures everyday for the entire semester just puts slide up and reads them for an hour. Gives us the hardest final and asks 10 questions within the essay question. I end up with a B- in what couldve been the stupidest class in the world and brings my GPA down. I hate how College's make you take these pointless classes that just fuck ur GPA and you get nothing out of them because ur major has to do with sports not about how Europe came to be Europe. FUCK /rant

Is it just me or does almost every "Popular, cool, hip, uhhhhhh to cool for you" teenager girl snowboard for the sake of saying that they snowboard. It seems as if there is still a mentality that skiing is your grandmothers sport. Some of them own board and have yet to ever use them.

I was scheduled to work 7-4 today. Pretty normal day, whatever. The guy who was supposed to take over after me came in and I guess his aunt passed away this morning. He called everyone who knows how to close asking for them to take his shift and they all said they couldn't work. Im the only other person who knows how to close so he asked me last. Obviously I'm not going to say no. I'm not mad at him at all. I completely understand him needing he day to himself. But I don't get why 7 other people all said no knowing his aunt passed away. Like a 5 hour shift is not that terrible, especially given the circumstances. Id expect at least one of them to be a decent person to let this kid spend some time with his family today.
I don't know if I'm just being overly sensitive/bitchy but if someone in my family passed away Id want someone to take my shift too. I just don't understand how I'm only one who thinks that way. I feel so bad for him especially because it's 9 days before Christmas(his family is very religious so christmas is a big thing for them). He was all choked up when I was talking to him too. I just can't believe nobody else could suck it up and take the shift for him. Ugh. I don't like people sometimes.

There's this douche-bag at work. I am about one more incident from shoving my pontiac up his ass. He left me to play with myself the other day for two hours as he went to applebees for lunch. (need two people to go up in a lift). He "works" from home and it's only when I need a hand does he actually do anything.
He has modeled his whole career off of others failures. He knows nothing and somehow got promoted to senior engineer. He lets on that he knows everything and as soon as someone makes a mistake he spreads gossip about how shitty that person does their job. Somehow this tactic has worked as he has been here for 20 years. I'm pretty sure he has been jumping up to his corporate buddies spreading bullshit about how my office doesn't know shit.
Today he was spreading some of that bullshit with me and another man. I was cleaning up and only paying slight attention. That is until he goes "OH yeah there's this other thing," then he gets really quiet and leads the other guy farther away so I can't hear what he is saying. This is in no doubt to talk shit about my office and my manager. I almost fucking threw my fucking hammer at him. He is a scumbag and we all know it. He just has too many buddies up top to fire. I am no longer going to ask him for help and when my manager asks why, I will tell him the truth. That he is a useless piece of shit who is Un-doubtably going behind our backs to fuck us.

In middle/ high school, a lot of above average skiers switched to snowboarding because it was "cooler." Every girl I've ever gone to the hill with was a snowboarder. All but one of those girls wanted to take a break every 5 runs which was annoying as hell.
Also, a friend of mine during freshmen year wanted to start a sport. I thought that was pretty cool because she was looked at as a super uncoordinated preppy girl(100% true though). She ended up making a list of sports that she wanted to try. She ranked the sports from 1 to whatever based on "cuteness" and "coolness." Snowboarding was number 1 on that list... Her parents bought her like 1200 worth of snowboarding gear. Ultimately, she ended up sucking ass but still likes to label herself as a snowboarder just so she can convince herself that she is cool, I assume.

As far as NS, it's an internet community. The rules and intensity of those rules very from forum to forum. It's a ski forum, with a TON of unrelated shit which is great. They decided that they wanted to move more away from certain bullshit and that's what they've done. I can understand why they wouldn't want to have racist, homophobic, or whatever stuff on their forums. I doubt they want the government to censor people but they're drawing a line and saying this is the way it's gonna be and that's just it.
If that's not it than I really have no idea what you're talking about. People being called racist that aren't being racist? that one kind of stumped me.

After living in Montana for 3 years now I am reaching my limit with the people here. Yes I love it here and yes the people are very friendly for the most part, but I fucking hate it when "Montanans" start talking about out of staters and their hatred towards them.
Guess what, if you are white and living in Montana someone in your family somewhere down the line came across on a boat from a different country and then moved there. So you are a fucking out of stater too. I've never heard one native american complain about out of staters or white people and they actually have a reason to complain.
Their reasons are population density and that out of staters don't know how to drive. NEWS FLASH Montana was ranked second in worst drivers of the nation so I think it is you who is the bad driver. Also Montana is fucking 48th in population density. The only ones behind it are Alaska and Wyoming. Montana will NEVER be overrun with people, it just won't. There are no ports and could never be a self sustaining country on it's own and there are not big enough cities to create a fuck ton of jobs so it will never happen.

Then outside the city isn't that much different from Montana, yeah it's a little more dry, but there's still a shit ton of ranches and farms. Also, the people there have just as big of trucks and are just as "cowboy" as you are. It really rubs me the wrong way sometimes.
