im a fucking idiot, I interviewed with a company this past week and told them my sister applied/worked for them for a minute back in Michigan (or at least I was told that). They searched their country-wide database and no records came up, and there I am sitting there like a dickwad completely called out and then the interview just went downhill from there, Forgot my water bottle and my mouth was all dry, kept repeating words, etc.

Decided drinking 10+ beers and staying up till 3 before waking up at 630 and working a 9-5 was a good idea. Kept snoozing alarm, had to sprint to catch train still drunk, forgot headphones fuck. Shady spot in coffee shop was taken, sun too bright. Least productive day of career almost in the books. 5 20z waters, 8 advil, 1 vitamin water, 2 large coffees, 1 banana, 1 soft pretzel and 4 tacos later and I still feel like satans chafing asshole. stay in school kids! no like literally don't graduate, go on a 10 year college plan. big people world is beat. peace

I get married in 6 days. Made some awesome 120 proof weddin likker. It tastes so good I don't know If I will have any left I only have a gallon LOL

The amount of skiers with bad attitudes and inflated egos has gradually made me sick to my stomach. Something about this sport brings out the bad side of many many people.

Bad vibes in terms of anything spread super fast. I've found that negativity affects people way quicker than positivity but It's simple to fix. Having a positive attitude yourself and paying more attention to the good will eventually attract the types of people you want to be around. At some point you'll come to realize there's always going to be negativity and you can either embrace that for what it is or you can be consumed by it. (hint: don't be consumed by it(: ).

Also for what it's worth in this circumstance, there's a lot of good in skiing. Maybe not at your hill, maybe not on Ns or social media, but if you get out there you'll find there is a lot of good (:

im not disagreeing with you but give me an example?

i think its bcuz there is a lot of racism in the skiing community, its all rich white kids, no diversity, etc.

i remember during the olympics, they referred to an african american skier as an ethnic skier, yet they didn't call caucasians "white" skiers. like a skier is a skier stop labelling it

It's just a bunch of kids with loaded parents and the desire to be "popular and admired". There's so many cocky little bastards trying to prove themselves, while forgetting what the sport is really about.

Yeah I may be slightly biased because the Midwest doesn't have the same skiing culture as the mountains. Wont be dealing with it much longer.

In no way am I defending being that way, but maybe that's what the sport is about to them. There are shitty people in every facet of life, just ignore it and worry about what you can actually control

aghhhhhhh i want to fucking throw something at a wall. For the past three weeks in lab I've been trying to reduce phenylalanine to phenylalanol, and when I went to run the TLC today THERE WAS NO MOVEMENT. I even ran it in super polar solvent, and still no movement. The worst part is this is only to form the starting materials for the actual experiment. So aggravating!!!!!!!

True. I liked Bridger the couple times I went there. Give it 10 years and it will be blown out just like everywhere else though

Thought about this soon as I posted lol. They actually sold a ton of the land just north of Bridger to some developers and gave plans for condos etc. But as of now the vibe 's still very much ducttape and granola community owned resort. Good ol' Boz Angeles is getting blown out in the next 5-10 years too.

sometimes, but you also have to ability to link up with other like-minded individuals who want to ski, spread stoke, are happy to still be kicking, etc.

But yes, mountain towns can have assholes. Park City is starting to turn into Yuppieville, USA sadly, but that's been on going for ever now.

Ive met some TOTAL fuckin hosers at snowbird and alta though without doubt. 30 to 50-something knobs decked out in the latest and greatest gear, have their ABS packs on for a day of resort skiing, love talking themselves up, and always have to one-up you when talking about how your day is going, I have literally heard people say "eh, its probably better at alta today" when it just dumped like 15"-20". My biggest pet peeve with some of those dickwads are how mad they get at Patrol for being hesitant to open terrain following storms, like I remember seeing some dude berate patrollers as they got on when they were doing control work one AM and it was fucked, the resort host had to come over and tell him to cool it our hes getting kicked out and they'll call the cops. I wouldn't mind seeing dudes like that get buried, but then again patrol/ Search and rescue will have to dig their ignorant ass out.

my favorite interaction of all time though was meeting an older gentlemen with outwear that was at least 25 years old, I think the only new piece of gear he had were fat pow skis, and he was just so ecstatic and satisfied with being out there. You could hear it in his voice, like it couldn't get much better than that, and it was easily the best day of skiing with friends ive had. Waist-deep laps from 9 till 4:30.

I hooked up with this girl three times and after the third she told me she was in an open relationship with a dude at home. Like come onnnnn communicaiton

well i mean, sounds like you get the girl but dont have to do the boyfriend stuff like gifts and shit

meh, I don't like the idea of hooking up with a girl and then knowing that she goes home like three days later to bang another dude that she probably likes more.

the first part of that is truly all you need to have fun on skis. If you have a solid group of friends it's always a good time.

I am so sick of seeing ads fucking EVERYWHERE about trying to get women into computers. I was a computer science major at college and it was everywhere there. Now I am a developer and still see this crap everywhere. I'm all for chasing your dreams, but why don't I see any social justice huffington post articles about the absolute dominance of female nurses vs male nurses? Or ads trying to get women to become truck drivers?

Just accept the fact that most women dislike computers.

wow i brought 4 sheets of printer paper to the computer lab to print out a pitch for journalism and when i went to the printer to get my work, some DICK ASS printed his shit on my paper ugh why do people suck

pow days with all your buddies sharing chairlift beers, heading to the smoke shacks to party a little bit, going back out and hammering down, watching everyone be goofballs, etc. cant beat that kind of stuff.

It bothers me when people say to do stuff for yourself. Like yes, when you do stuff, you shouldn't do it with the sole intent of seeking approval, attention etc. from others. You should first and foremost do whatever it is because you truly love it and want it.

At the same time doing something strictly for yourself is fucking lame(to an extent). In fact, if you really, really are passionate about something you should want to share that with other people...no? What is something worth if you can't share it with others? I mean really think about it. I personally can't think of one thing that I have ever truly cared about that I don't want others to be a part of.

Think about the sickest day of skiing you've ever had(only using skiing as an example because this is NS). Think about how hyped you were, how you felt about it during and after, what it left you with, etc. Isn't that all stuff you want to share with someone? Isn't it fair to say that anyone could benefit from that same experience, whether its in skiing or any other activity/aspect of life?

It's a really awesome feeling to introduce someone to similar experiences in my opinion. And while making other people happy should never be a motive in doing something, if you have the ability to share such an awesome passion/experience with others... why wouldn't you do it?

I feel like there's a fucking trend(?) in society with people my age who are like "fuck everyone, I'm doing what I want" or everyone is like "only do things for yourself" and other cliche BS I see constantly on social media. And a lot of people who have came in/out of my life take that to heart and block out a lot of potential relationships/experiences.

I don't even know what my point is here. Maybe I'm just butthurt. Who knows.

I think what a lot of people mean ia dont posy every single second of every day on your snaps or insta and whatever and just fucking enjoy what you're doing it takes the fun out of it when you have to record every second.

I have never came across the issue of people doing that so I can't really comment on it. But I can only imagine if someone actually did that, yeah no bueno.

On the topic of social media, I think it's rad. If you do something cool and you want to share that with people, I say go for it. You never know who's gonna see it. Maybe it influences someone to try something new or get back into an old hobby. Stuff like that gets me really stoked. Idk hahaha.

I'm in this class from 6-9 on thursday nights and for 3 hours straight all he does is read straight from the slides. He posts them online so you could just read them cause we know how to fucking read. I waste 3 hours of my time every thursday because this guy takes attendance and only gives out the password to do the homework in class(changes every week).
