so i work nights at a sandwich shop till 2 am on the reg. the usual weekend night manager, who id say im pretty good friends with, is out on vacation. because of that this other dude has her shifts, now hes a good dude. but god damn is he awful at his job. I bust my god damn ass cleaning pretty the whole store all night and he still cant manage to get us out at a reasonable time. Even when its super busy the other managers always manage to get us out before 2am, this dude is just such a sack of horse shit. i have no idea what he even does all night because I'm cleaning pretty much everything.

and i just know hes going to ask me to stay late tonight "to help close" but no fuck that im not doing it. last saturday he sent half the staff home ON A SATURDAY NIGHT because it was dead. the thing about saturdays is though IT ALWAYS PICKS UP NO MATTER WHAT. so at the time i was supposed to be off at 1 but i ended up staying till 2 saving his sorry fuckin ass.

I feel this. I hate poor management and awful coworkers, I worked with a white trash piece of shit last year who would steal peoples tip money during tours. Normally we would give tours of our Olympic venues and afterwards we would divide the money evenly between the bus driver and tour guide. Well one day, I finish my tour, wait for everyone to leave the bus and turn around to see what they left us and this piece of fucking garbage literally slams the door in my face and peels off like a fucking cartoon, I was so fucking angry I spent a good hour just walking around to cool off. Fucker still has his job and apparently leaves work while clocked in to go kick it at his house, really glad to hear they choose to employ wonderful specimens like him and not people that actually want to do a good job and make people happy. Fuck that guy. Honestly feels like you can win with jobs and there is always bullshit and it sometimes feels crazy to ask for a job where everything goes smooth, everyone is on board, and no dipshits are running the show.

my sister acts the same way. She recently got a bike and she asked me to go out to the store to go get her a specific helmet. Because it tastes fucking good. And how can you feel fine eating meat from a store but put down hunting for food? All the food i get from hunting had a much better life than the chicken who never saw sunlight and cant stand due to all the growth hormones that they pump them with.

There is really nothing to morally object to in terms of hunting overpopulated pests which Daph referred to as well. Predator hunting is the only thing which would make be consider someone a total piece of shit.

But the same things happen to predators too, back home they give away a few mountain lion tags per year because they overpopulate them selves and either starve or start invading homes and eating dogs etc. I do not mind that too much because all the money go towards conservation efforts, although it sucks they have to do it in the same place.

We have permission from upper management to shoot them because they are such a pest and are all over the damn place so it would cost a ton of money to hire someone to get rid of them. I only shoot them during the actual hunting season so they have time to make babies then raise them. Same goes for elk and deer, I'd say about 80% of the meat I eat is either from animals I have shot or my friends have shot, a decent sized mule deer will feed me for months. But to each their own, some people think shooting anything is despicable, I am not one of those people. There is a time and place for hunting and when done properly it is almost a necessary evil. I also support wolf hunting but that's a whole different debate, I've seen first hand how fucked up the ecosystem around here has become since the wolves have been reintroduced and the population needs thinning.

the wolves that are here now are not the native wolves, they are a larger variety. they have done irreparable damage to the elk population and have migrated far beyond the park boundaries and are reproducing at an alarming rate. I'm not saying kill them all but there needs to be access to wolf tags during hunting season, a draw style tag like mountain goat or moose would be ideal so not everyone with a rifle can go out and shoot one, but something to keep the rapidly increasing population at bay. I live about an hour outside of the park and there are quite a few of them around here, since their reintroduction there has been a huge decrease in both the number and quality of elk around here as well as huge stress on the ranching and agricultural industry. As sad as it is, in this day and age there aren't many areas where the ecosystem is allowed to do what it is supposed to without human intervention, the national parks are one of the few exceptions. Let the wolves be in the park and do their thing, if they are out of the park and on someone's land where they raise cattle or other livestock, those land owners should have the right to shoot them. The wolves that are killed in my neck of the woods aren't for sport or hate, they are killed because they pose a threat to people's livelihood. While they don't account for a significant amount of livestock deaths, say a rancher has 2000 head of cattle, they may lose 4 or 5 to wolves each year, the presence of the wolves has caused stress amongst the herd and they aren't making market weight. There are actually quite a few studies about this and when I was in the ag school at MSU I took a few classes that spent a lot of time on the subject of wolves and their effect on the ranching industry in Montana. Its an interesting debate for sure and I respect those who have opposing views to mine, but that's where I stand in a nutshell.

Like I said before, I'm not advocating killing them all, it is neat that they've been reintroduced and seeing a wolf in the wild is very humbling. I was lucky enough to get to see them when I wrangled and I'll catch a glimpse every now and again on the ski hill. But I do think they should be hunted like a lot of other animals in this area are and I know first hand that they are a problem.

Need to start a business. Its not that I want to be my own boss, Im just absolutely fed up with wasting my time with employers who say they value your time but really youre just another replaceable kid they can walk all over and use to their advantage. Id love to provide a place of employment for people that actually do want to get shit done and value good people running shit and actually derive some sort of value out of their paychecks instead of just watching the clock and collecting pay every few weeks. Uber/Lyft drivers in Park City during the season make incredible amounts of cash, like drug dealer shit, especially during sundance. You're literally working more than you sleep but to be able to make a few grand in spending money over a week is a no brainer, might have to get on that. Im just starting with some possible ideas, but just the idea of running your own thing and being the boss you want to see is worth it no matter what im doing, you know?
