First of let me tell mickdcopycat one message....
SEARCH BAR you complete moron we don't care about your opinion because your an insignificant skier who probably would allow yourself to be eifle towered by tanner and mick d
second of all as a rollerblader who started rollerblading 8 years ago i have seen the highs and lows of rollerblading... i have seen it go from a point where every person wanted to be aaron feinberg when he won the xgames at 16 and who had great contracts with large sponsors such as gap to the point where there are contests now where people try ledges they can easily DIE on to win 20 dollars during a contest
furthermore, the rollerblading community knows it is hated and to be honest they don't care about becoming the next big trend again or surpassing skateboarding as the pinnacle action sports industry. all the people want is the pros can have livable wages and they arent forced to work at places like home depot to make ends meet as opposed to living in a hollywood hills home and drive a porsche carrera (i.e. rob and big)
i respect skateboarding, in fact i do it everyday as my method of transportation as i use my sector 9 shortboard to skate to class at my university... however i am the type of person who does not get the same thrill/adrenaline similar to skiing, out of landing a trick 6" off the ground by just using my foot to flip the board around one time in a parking lot...
i would personally rather learn to do a complete 360 into an already difficult grind, and THEN have to balance my way down a 25 stair handrail and land and roll away without falling.... no one is arguing which sport is harder, they each are easier in their own ways its the equivalent of skiing/snowboarding. most people believe skiiing is slightly easier to do from the start however to master the technical skills and become exceptional requires years of practice and hard work as opposed to snowboarding when one might fall a few times but once you get the hang of it your pretty much set
in addition you can hold your own opinion on rollerblading and that you think it is gay, but dont you ever dare tell another skier how to dress you fascist kid... i wear rollerblading shit sometimes when i urban, i wear a line tshirt when i rollerblade, nobody cares except someone who is insecure about themselves and their lack of style
do you think by not wearing a skiing shirt while rollerblading that you cant tell just looking at the two sports the grabs are similar, the balance and stance on jumps and rails are remarkably alike, the only things really different are the size of the jumps and park features other then rails... in fact rails are bigger on rollerblades for the most part
you also said candide is the shit for doing an 810 onto a rail... thats not that surprising considering people in rollerblading have done "switch" aka fakie 720 grinds on handrails.... or forward 720s into grinds over launch boxs to disaster onto the rail and almost got forward 900s to "switch" aka alley-oup grinds on the same setup
are you going to now call candides shit gay? didnt think so bud...
btw in addition to skiing and rollerblading and being able to skateboard i also surf, and wakeboard so you pretty much have no grounds to say people shouldnt rollerblade because there are better choices then it...
