Randoms on NS

I showed this site to my buddy [person x] (who doesnt ski), and he was really into the NSG and the regional forums, he was legit.. no complaints..

The thing that im not to impressed with is that he showed the site to someone else[person y], who doesnt ski at all, has no use to be on this site, and then he became a member.. that kinda pissed me off but whatever

BUT NOW, [person y] shows this site to someone else [person z] who yet again doesnt belong here.. so apparently this pattern isnt ending..

Its just that this is SKIINGS ONLINE COMMUNITY .. and there is no reason person y, or z, should be here (person x is respectful, uses this site for information.. so that is different..)

just a small rant thats kinda pissing me off
 
haha powned. are you friends with both of them? but if you dont want them on here, not that im a fan of it but you should get a whole bunch of people to start hatin on them. coz they seem like tools if they come here and act like dickheads

there should be something like a quiz before you can register here. so no one who doesnt ski can come here.
 
yea dude im with you. I think its cool if they want to join the site and actually learn about skiing but when they post whore and ruin threads and fill the site with crap which has been happening a lot latley I dont think they have any reason to be here
 
Hey, I heard about this site befor I skied but like a day after I switched to skiing cuz its in my opinion more fun then snowboarding but I still enjoy watching snowboarders do there thing. I just dont see why kids post on here to spread hate on sports and the way people act, and what they wear. Because I heard Image is Everything And Talk is Cheap.
 
I've also been seeing more and more snowboarders on the site, not taht it bothers and me its not like they bash skiing but I always wondered why they would come here?
 
there are a few people on here that dont ski. I could be wrong but i believe leckett only skateboards, and there is Ackerbaker (sp?) who snowboards, there are other kids who just snowboard, so its not like it was a HUGE deal.

Also, he is a good guy, and a fairly respectable person. He uses this site for information and under these sercumstances i believe it was ok for him to be here. Also, i didnt "show" him the site. At school me and nomensteven would mention something about NS and he would be like "waht is that what is that?" so we would say a skiing site, so i guess he checked it out, it wasnt like he came over and i set up an account for him.
 
no there shouldnt. If there was, then a person who just got new skis and all, couldnt get in....it doesnt matter what you do, because there will always be the lonly kid looking for attention in any way possible..
 
There's always tonnes of stupid shit like this.

As the traffic of NS grows, there's going to be more and more pointless threads. That is why we have mods!!! Every internet forum site has zillions of stupid threads that come up every day. Henceforth why they are all deleted.

So if you see dumb shit like this going down, just send the tread link to an admin/mod and they'll simply delete it. Eventually people get tired of having their threads deleted and either leave or shape up.

We have to work together as a community to keep NS as good as it can be!

 
yea doug since i encounter so many bad threads on here you should just make me a mod so i can delete them
 
OK, I put that incorrectly. They do ski but don't come on this website to discuss skiing in particular.

Unless a person is spamming or being gay, they should be allowed here whether they ski or not because it could potentially encourage them to start skiing. Ya know?
 
i introduced my friend to newschoolers, like just showed him the forum, didnt expect him to sign up.

we all saw what happened after that (gorilla_stench)

i think there should be some kind of ski-related trivia question in order to sign up from now on. fuck noobs, they can read the forum all they want, use the search bar to figure out what size ski they need, etc...

just a thought.

the NSG is cool, but it's not that cool. Most people who don't ski will get bored with the NSG pretty quickly and leave.
