Random things that piss you off during the day

Fuck that the fast lane is called the fast lane for a reason. If I'm going 90 and someone in front of me is going 70, they have to get the fuck out of my way. Thats how driving works. Carpool lane too. And if someone comes up behind me doing 110, you better believe I get out of the way.

Recently these idiots have been pissing me off so much I've been honking at them.

being stuck on a bus with no music and some annoying bitch on her cellphone sits down next/near you and is talking loud enough that everyone around her is thinking the same thing as you...SHUT UP and save it for when you get home

^being stuck on the bus in canyon traffic with an angry old man that looks like he might eat somebody while simultaneously bitching, and two women that look like crows and keep staring at you.

thats whack. and annoying.

5 miles= 5 minutes at 60 mph
5 miles =10 minutes at 30mph
so basically youd have to maintain a speed abve 25mph on a bike, to make it there in around 12 minutes?

youre an idiot kid, and im sure you bike everywhere you go.

1. RAIN, seriously FUCK RAIN!

2. Blue Balls. It's a horrible feeling to be so close to laid, but not getting laid.

3. Socially awkward kids.

4. Kids that talk about politics often. seriously you people are that uninteresting? get a life.

5. When people won't lay off when i say no thanks to something. If you keep pressing you're going to get a swat boot in the face.

6. this advertisement on the side of the page with some chick that has a huge FUPA and her shirt up so you can see that nastiness. SERIOUSLY IVE SEEN THAT AD 50 TIMES ON NS. I DONT WANT TO LOOK AT IT ANYMORE, AND I DON'T GIVE A FUCK ABOUT CUTTING 2 POUNDS OUT OF MY STOMACH RACHEL RAY!

sigh....

No, it's not just you, it's the majority of people.

Sometimes hypocrits like to call people out on being "lazy" or "destroying the environment" by driving their car, rather than walking/biking. These people are jumping to conclusions about other people's lives, and making unfounded assumptions.

Riding a bike to work for me, would be inefficient, impractical, unrealistic, and downright impossible on most days.

a.) I dress up for work, i do my hair, i wear make-up. Riding a bike and getting sweaty on my way to work, is not an option- we do not have showers at work.

b.) I carry lots of things to and from work (lunch, files, purse, day planner, stuff pertaining to errands I can run on my lunch break)

c.) I run errands on my lunch break- something I would be unable to do without my car- especially when it's getting my oil changed.

On another note, you cannot possibly know the route from my house to my work- certainly not enough to know whether it's even bikeable. Not to mention, it's impossible for you to estimate the time it would take, seeing as you don't know the terrain.

Look- you've got a point- for SOME people, in SOME situations.

It's fine to say that it pisses you off when people who could easily walk or ride their bike to work, choose to drive instead. However, you shouldn't have responded to me when you said it- you don't know my situation, so stop pushing the point. If I say it's not possible, it's not possible.

If I had a more casual job, in the summer, with a less complex route, it would probably be a viable alternative- but that's just not the case.

I wasn't saying it would work for everyone just that it is an option for a lot more than the few who choose to utilize it.

1.) when i drive to work and my ipod reciever starts getting fuzzy and then stops working

2.) when ur the only car on the road and there is someone waiting to pull out and they pull out in front of you while your doing like 70 and there is no one behind you but they pull out in front of YOU! then do 10 under

3.) when i wash my car then it rains like 20 minutes later.

4.) Old ppl that take corners going liek 3 mph

5.) walmart

the bike route is uphill, through urban area and there's traffic lights that you have to stop at every 100 feet. I live with snobunny, I know. We'd all love to be do gooders that ride bikes to work, but its not possible for most.

word some d bag on here told me to bike to work in some thread, but that means id have to bike on major highways and i dont get out of work till 10ish in teh summer, so itd be dumb.

i wholeheatedly agree with you.

haha, same! I'd have to cross a freeway on a no-bike lane overpass with a 35 mph speed limit. ugh.

shitty drivers. i dont have road rage, they just piss me off.

example: i just drove home from my friends house. about a 10 mile drive and i drove behind the same car practically the whole way. i even took a "short cut" that he didnt, but got PWNT at a stopsign and he ended up getting right ahead of me again. im talking stuff like going 35 in a 55, when he was going around a corner he would start to take it fast, then about 3/4 of the way through he hit his brakes and slowed down 5-10 MPH, and when he turned off one road onto another, he took the turn at literally less than 10 MPH. also, he had the white line down the middle of his car for a solid 1/4 mile. oh and he doesnt use turn signals.

hahha when im up in north creek/at gore i just pass those bitches on double yellow solid's haha. ive passed mad peeps on the access road

runners that run in the middle of the fucking road on fucking highways because there's too much snow on the sidewalk. Run in a fucking gym when it's 0* out.

Ignorant assholes that don't realize how hypocritical and ignorant they are being.

Ridiculous confining rules of educational administrations that do absolutely no good other than to further their power as administrators.

when i finally get the water perfect in the shower and then someone flushes the damn toilet so my back gets burnt, turn up the cold water and then its freezing 20 seconds later

I'd just like to point out, you fucked yourself over on this one. You wouldn't have to change your oil if you rode a bike. Get a bus pass to do your errands, which is possible in a city like Seattle.

And if you get sweaty, bike slow, and take a little more time to get there. Keep a pair of heels to change into under your desk.

As for transportation, try a handlebar bag, or a side saddle bag.

So, as I've solved all your problems, if you still say you can't do it, you're just plain lazy.

exercise might not kill you. Urban areas have bicycle paths for the most part, which actually facilitates things for you. If more people did that, you'd actually have no problem because everything would be a bike lane, except for fat people, who would have to walk, and then we could actually enjoy our motherfucking planet.

Honestly, as skiers, we're a pretty outdoorsy kind of group, set an example for other people out there. Show some love for the planet that brings us snow.

1. Unusually warm weather for winter (finally gone...)2. When Shaun White wins another comp he shouldn't have. I don't care much about snowboarding but Shaun White is VERY overrated in my opinion.3. When the power goes out when your on the lift and your stuck there on a pow day for 20 mins plus.

The weight lifters/football players that walk around school with popped collars, push there chests out, and look down and check themselves out every 10 seconds.

I don't think him pointing out that it was uphill, was an adversion to getting exercise- i think he was pointing out that it can't be done in 12 minutes, and you can't maintain a 25mph speed- due to the fact that it's uphill and there are a ton of stoplights.

Secondly, there are no bike paths on the roads I take to work.

Thirdly, you're being RIDICULOUS! Just because I drive my car to work, doesn't mean that I'm completely oblivious to the planet! I don't understand your motive- I'm sure you've taken into consideration the fact that I might very well do more to help the planet than you- but for some reason you've chosen to disregard that thought and go on attack mode- even though you have no idea what you're talking about.

I don't know where you live- but I'd be willing to give anyone on this site $100.00, if they can reasonably ride their bike from my house to my work.

by reasonably I mean something that could be repeated on a daily basis- not a shit show of cars honking while you disobey every traffic law and manage to make it there in an hour.

yeah, IF more people used alternative transportation, it would be made easier. Im not saying thats a bad thing. I work in Tacoma right now instead of close by because of the bad economy. I would use light rail, but its not built yet. I could ride my bike down I-5 40 miles in each direction with all my construction gear, but I'd have to leave at 4 am to get there by 6. I need at least a car or truck full of shit to do my job. When my situation was different, I felt differently about riding my bike or walking. Now, although it would be nice to have that luxury so I could tell others they weren't living their lives properly, I don't. So I can't.

First off, it's Quantum, not quantam, so you might want to get that straight if its your passion. Secondly, the theoretical aspect of it is really interesting, but when you start taking classes more advanced than grade 9, you'll see that it's all pure hardcore math, so if you're not good with math, physics will suck balls, I would know.

nobody said anything about that comment, yet if someone said "black people" or "arabs" or "jews" they would get showered in shit and hate, and that pisses me off

With a time trial bike, no lights, no hills, few turns, and a person with cycling experience and a higher level of fitness...

yes. youre right.

but

With a $500 hybrid with thick tires, a rack and bag with 10 pounds of additional weight, lights, traffic, weather, hills, mechanical issues, lack of cycling experience and average cardiovascular capacity....

no, it's near impossible. not to mention you dont have to get dressed up to drive your car to work in the rain.

When it comes to the environment, admitting there's a problem is not half the battle.

Everyone thinks their situation is so goddamned special. It's not. So if biking isn't an option for you, why don't you try public transit?

Finally! A reasonable suggestion for me. I could take the bus- I choose not to because the Park N Ride is as far away as my work is, and if I don't get on at the Park N Ride then I'll have to make a million stops which would take longer to get to work- which means I'd have to wake up earlier.

So yeah- I could take the bus- I choose not to for convenience sake. Sue me.

I will have you know, however, that I'm up for a job in Seattle (I live in Bellevue), and if i get that job, I will be taking the bus to work.

one HUGE thing that pisses me off is people telling other people over the interwebz that they should bike to work... yes that was a call out.
