so i was reading this little tiny article in the newspaper today and it just didn't make sense. it said that some guy almost got the death pentaly for murdering a women that was pregnant. it didn't specify how along she was or much details much this sparks an interesting question. how come abortion is legal within like three months if killing a mother thats pregnant counts as a double murder. wtf man?

btw, i'm not for abortion but i do believe in the death pentaly

an abortion is when the mother doesn't want to have the baby, so murdering a mother that wants to have the baby counts as two deaths i guess

well i guess if a chick doesn't want a kid growing inside of her than its up to her the decide wether to abort it or not

also up to her if she wants to have sex. i know shit happens but when you have sex, you take that risk. you learn that in 6th grade health class

we just learned about this in my child psych class. in washington, at 36 weeks a baby is legally considered a life because it can survive on its own. so since the mom was 36 weeks pregnant or more, it was considered a double homicide. you can get an abortion all throughout a pregnancy (at least in wa) but once the baby is legally viable you have to go to court and prove that the child or the mom's life is seriously at risk because otherwise they could just do a c-section and have a live kid.

Well IMO I think that's fucked up. 36 weeks is just considered full term. A baby can survive before that, it just needs constant medical attention. If a girl is say, 20 weeks along, which is half of her pregnancy, and she decides she doesn't want that baby, then she should carry it to full term and give it up for adoption. That "thing" inside of her still has a heartbeat, and organs, and is actually developing.

i have concluded that there is no conclusion on this topic,
we cant completely define what a life is or the rights it should have without pushing someone else out of the picture.

because he sees a baby's life as innocent where as he sees a murder's life not worthy of being allowed because you have to do some fucked up shit to get the death penalty? maybe stop listening to immortal technique.....

This took place in my town area.

Funny story though. My mom wanted to take my dog to the park for a hike, and he got all freaked out when they arrive. He never does that so it is reallllyyy weird. My mom then decides to take him to another one to calm him down.

Later that day the body is discovered. In the park they went to first.

i forget the term, but it's not double murder that was committed here, it was technically an abortion performed by someone who is not an abortionist. this is a felony, and because the mother died during the course of the felony, it's automatic murder I and up to the jury whether or not the death penalty is in order.

you know how fucked up that is to say? so kids like me arent around. you don't know me what so ever.

and so getting fixed is killing a baby. maybe it can't live on its own but its still a baby. yes its a biological process but your wrong, IT IS a baby.

yes the father can walk away but thats where child support comes in. altered=murder

i don't know the full process my heart but i know they have a brain and start to breathe within a few months. that makes it a living thing. it should have rights too. don't want the baby? there are many family's who would love to adopt a white baby

I had a priest explain the Episcopal church's stance on abortion once. He said abortion should only be used in extreme circumstances like rape or when it will seriously destroy the lives of both the mother and child. It should never be used as a form of birth control.

The worst thing about this debate is that pro life people seem to think that pro choice means pro abortion or EVERY pregnancy should be aborted. I think late term abortions are wrong but early on in the pregnancy I think they're an option for someone who really shouldn't have a child. Laws should probably be made that require counseling to help the girl make a decision she probably shouldn't make on her own.

Up toward the top someone said that a 36 week old baby is legally considered a life because it can survive on its own. While I don't doubt the fact that that is a law I find this ridiculous.  A 36 week old baby can't survive on its own any better than a 28 week old.  A baby needs constant attention. It needs to be fed. It's not like it pops out of the womb and can go hunt for food.  That is such a bad measure of life. I just wanted to say that. It really has nothing to do with the abortion debate. I am pro-choice by the way.

wow, did i seriously just read that?.......... yeah i did! speaking from the view point of, my sister is adopted, 4 out of 6 of my cousins are adopted.

o yeah, my sister is white, her birth dad was Brazilian(not an issue) only one of my cousins is white, i have 2 from china, and one native American cousin..

so rethink your statement, any baby is adoptable.

uh no basically i mean that in general so don't assume thats what i meant. its both the choice of the male and female to have sex. unfortunally, sex may have negative effects but you know that going in. expect in rape situations

first its not a baby its a cell your just getting rid off. if thats a baby u should go to jail for scratching ur arm which makes thousands of cells fall off. and second it should always be the choice of a women. every sitiuation is going to be different. can u imagine the phsycological, emotional, and social effects of a 16 year old girl having to raise a child?

just cause you have sex doesnt mean you want babies, who knows what if a girl got raped by brad pitt or something and decided to keep the baby

So your saying that 12 people should have the right to end some ones life if they all want to but if someone doesnt want to have a kid growing inside of them and then experiance a painful birth/cesarian(sp) they should be forced to have the kid. Not to mention the emotional consequences of an adoption on both the child and mother an adoption would have.

And i like immortal technique

its still "a living thing" according to you. Try passing a kidney stone and then tell a woman she HAS to give birth.
sidenote, because i watched juno a few days ago.. "Fetuses have fingernails!"

It makes you a piece of shit because you won't listen to a logical, well thought out argument and instead stick to your own unfounded thoughts without basis
