Random Gaper acts of Kindness.

Yes this is also a claim/ HOWEVER

Last weekend learned how to throw punch fronts. Some gaper standing in the park asked my friends if any of us were going to do any "inverted tricks" because he had a gopro and wanted to watch. I told him i was going to try a frontflip (had never landed one) and said he could watch as long as he stayed out of the way. Land it and ski off to stoked to stop.

/end claim

Here is the real cool part. This guy, finds me at the top of the lift, gets my email, and sends me the shot a day later uploaded on youtube. All this just to share the stoke with me.

Anyone else have a gaper story that isnt complaining about them? Sometimes the gapers are just miss understood.

One time ski patrol took my friend's ski while we were hiking because he saw that it didn't have a brake and just skied away with it so my friend followed him we were all expecting a definite pass clip but he just went to the rental place and got him a leash so his ski would go flying down the hill if he popped out, patrol can be pretty chill sometimes.

OP, vid link/embed to this frontflip?? One time this snowboarder brought be my ski when i caught an edge off a jump. Was pretty weird/unusual.

I was out hitting big jump line at my local hill and working on on a 900. I under rotated and knuckled really hard, proceeded to flip head over heels and slam at the end off the landing. I was unconscious. My buddies were able to pull me to the side of the hill (i still hadnt woken up) and a total gaper, who also happened to be a doctor, came over and woke me up and treated me until patrol came about ten minutes later. The doctor could hardly ski but helped me out when i was out so it was pretty sweet.

Thanks man! I got the feet stagger down now, this was the first of three, and they all just kept getting cleaner. I noticed that kicking with one foot instead of two helps a lot. TO be honest, my biggest fear is that since it is so blind and spun so fast, I dont want to over rotate to my face if i go big!

Pretty good random acts of kindness. Keep em coming!

One time I was on a difficult run and some gapers had found themselves in a bad place on the run so I went over and pushed them off a cliff

that was fuckin sick man, always wanted to learn these but no idea how to start. they seem sketchy as fuck.

dropped a pole and a gaper on the way down yelled up asking if i wanted him to leave it off to the side of the trail or bring it to the bottom and leave it with the lifty, he left it with the lifty and i got it at the end of the run!

So do you do punch fronts off rollers and regular fronts off jumps? I tried my first front last week but I froze in mid air and ended up just straight airing.

The punch fronts don't look too bad - do you just take a short hop bend a little and pop/push the front out?

I have never tried a front on a jump. or a backie... this was my first flip ever haha. (Hence the stoke)

I cant talk about fronts on jumps, but here is what i learned about punch fronts. First be able to flip into a pool or on a tramp with almost no bounce. You are going to need to know how to spin it fast. As you come up to the roller, you are going to want to pick up one tip a little bit, then as you roll forward onto that ski, you will use your other leg to kick back behind you. This leg being kicked up behind you is what is going to get you the spin you need. Make sure to tuck in and grab your knees in the air, and just stay tight. It is really hard to spot your landing because you are staring at your chest while flipping, but you should be able to bring it to you feet. The video isnt a good example of the scissoring technique, but if you want i can try and post up the second video where the one foot kick is more obvious.

when I tore my acl on a jump I was the last of my friends to drop so they were all waiting for me at the bottom and they couldn't see me. then some 8ish year old racer kid comes swerving between the jumps because the park was empty and went and told my friends I was hurt for me

one time i ate shit while learning 540s. i knuckled the jump and one of my skis stayed on the knuckle so a gaper snowboarder decided to send it down to me... backwards tearing off the brake
