Rainier Trip.

As I have an excessive need to go skiing, we went back to Rainier today to play around. This time we (my roommate, his girlfriend, and I) went to Paradise, and walked about 3 miles up the Skyline trail towards Camp Muir.

Chilly parking lot.

On the way up. I felt like I was headed for a monastery or something.

I built a jump over a rock. Alpine Initiatives t-shirt steeze.

Then went for a switch 3, and caught my ski (notice how the rock is bending it...)I did ride away, though.

Staring down my lunch. And my face was cooking, as I forgot the sunscreen, which explains the need for the bandana.

We are SO hard.

Then I built a new takeoff for the rock. First one is a double handplant cork 3 thingy:

Another great day in the mountains. And yes, that is a rubber duck on the dash.

Looks like a lot of fun, thanks david. Its kind of been a TGR thing but itd be sweet to have some mini TRs at least in the regionals, ill be sure to do a quick one when I go to revelstoke in december (going to be sick). I dont have a good camera but ill try to take some pics. Anyways, mad jealous of you~

Not a very long hike, it was only 3 miles or so.

Those yellow pants are actually the Logan 5 Helly Hansens from a couple of years ago. I fixed them (as they had some blowouts, and I didn't use them much last season), and took them out again yesterday. I guess yellow is trendy or something this year...

I am sitting her just dreaming of skiing and I see this thead. Man, I wanna go up to Rainier now. I hiked Pilchuck this summer and skied that, definitely some good times. Season needs to start NOW.

Okay, so I was thinking about doing this like when the snow was at the parking lot elevation. But how long did it take you to hike from paradise to where the snow was good?

now i was gonna do this in september cause my friend collin went and said it was hella fun. but then my nieghbir scared my dad by telling him how dangerous it is..is it really that dangerous?

Its not dangerous if you know how to swing across a 300 ft crevass with a grappling hook, David "Indiana Jones" Steele is a pro at it~

how long was the walk from the parking lot until you reached a good amount of that cold white STUfff??

2-3 mph? i thought you could run up mountains faster than that. especially after my new olympic event discovered at triple threat called "chug drinks and chase david up large hill".

Few of my friends went up there on the 18th, but called called out on on urban by an ranger. Let me know if you're goin up any time soon, I just got all my equipment together, and I know a few other people to throw in on gas or even drive.

yo, this saturday! we're doing it.

PS, can anyone give me a ride back to vancouver saturday night?

That sport isn't going to be in the Olympics, there have been too many deaths.

I was giving a nice approximate time. I gave hiking advice to tourists all summer, and had to expand my figures significantly. But I believe in you, Will.
