im really interested in sliding rainbow rails but havent seen a skier do one yet. i need some tips on how to do them. it seems like i wont be able to pop enough to get on to it because they rise so quick. whats the good word
just suck ur legs up at u go up it, make sure u get ur skis parallel to the rail right away too, made that mistake last year, nutted myself then cracked my rib falling into the bar holding it up. But then i got up and did it 4 times in a row, so u just kinda gotta go for it
It's just like sliding a normal rail. I dunno i find it really hard to get on to them though since they are all set up so bad at all the hills i go to.\

Rainbow's require ball's and the willingness to smash them, i have never nutted myself on one but im more worriedabout my nuts on a rainbow than a 32 kink down up down rail. Speed is your friend just like he said ^ gap to the top start small none of that keystone shit your first time. But once you get them they are fun as fuck.
Just dip your dong in paint and smack your helmet with it.
at my hill they haven't made a jump up to the rainbow, so its really hard to take. you need to turn before the rail. thats another way to do a rainbow, but its much harder
ya i noticed sarah burke does that a fair bit, i can remember what movie it is, i think it is year book she does that on a battleship rail. she is sideways and still on the snow

the key is to almost gap up to the top. most hills set them up so that lower level snowboards can ride on 50-50. if the kick up isn't the same angle as the rail (which it isn't usually) then just pop to the highest part you can with your legs sucked.
