could anybody explain to me how to get on them i have nutted myself too many times.......the one at my mountain is plain ride on no lip on the ramp up tp it
I haven't figured the rainbow out either, I tried looking at skiing clips to figure it out but I can't find any that show a person doing the whole thing they always desaster the secong half.
what i usually do is ride up to it then when i get like a lil less than half of my tips over the lip i pop up unto it. you have to sorta lean back a bit, a bit dont go to far back cuz you have to make it back down. ya thats how i do them... just mess around on them and see how you like it, good luck.
well you could side slip on if there's truly no lip whatsoever, otherwise you're just gonna have to accept you're gonna skip some of the rail and pop on. just pop hard right before the rail, and pop up more than out and get your feet on to the rail right
its hard to explain, but the bottom line is POP HARD

the skis look like joints cuz they smoke the competition -crystalneedsapark
either build up snow next to the rail and even with the top and slide sideways onto it or go one foot to turn nad use both feet... sounds hard but tis not too bad and its the easiest way if you get shafted with a bad setup
i dunno, my brother did it his first attempt and has yet to fall on one, then again, we agro skated for like 3-4 years so i guess we got grinding down... but thats just him.
I did my first rail ever at my ski resort today and it was a rainbow. I was a little intimidated by the A-Frame and the flat down. I just rolled in with a little speed and then you just pop a quick little 90 on and slide 'er all the way down. Good lcuk.
be smooth, feet a little wider than your shoulders... and hit it with speed... when i do rainbows [START CLAIM] i kinda lean back (a little bit) off the lip and float to the top because of my momentum, sometimes not even touching the rail, then gently land on the down slope so its a smooth transition from air to rail [END CLAIM] ... just dont be afraid
dont try to "slide" the rail like it was a flat rail or a down or something. Try to pop super hard and try to jump to pop to the top of the rail Obviously be turnd sideways, You should make contact with rail almost at the apex of it. Once you get comfortable start sliding more ofit.
word dude, have you ever nutted your self? i have, your better off w/ advice, just approach it like a normal rail, then just pop alittle more than a normal rail, and if you desaster it, it just makes you more of a dope skiier
