I had the same question about a week ago, and i got a whole lot of useful tips. Heres the web addy where the post is at:

Basically what they told me was to keep your weight centered, or slightly forward. Look at the end of the rail/jib. Line up straight with the rail, and make sure your weight is balanced throughout each foot. Its also important to make sure you land with the rail centered between the feet, that you get the full 90 on. Hope this helps man, good luck, Ride On.

yes commiting to rotation is HUGGGGE or u will find ur face on the rail... another this is popping off the lip of the jump onto the rail to set yourself

gorilla steez can screw you up alot. Gorilla steeze might be good in the inrun if you cant keep forward pressure without it, but unless you have rails dialed gorrila steeze will cause you to fall off the rail forward pretty early.

 
id say just go for it... the first time youre probably gonna fall whatever tips you get!
