Im beginning to make some rails and was wondering if PVC piping acuttly works for rails or if I should just use metal and weld it?

PVC from my experience was horrible, then I find a 20ft medal poll and that worked wonders.

But maybe if you have a 2x4 (or another size) along the whole underneathe of the PVC pipe?

i have a 20 ft pvc rail and a 12 ft metal rail, and the pvc slides a thousand times better, and as long as you have wood under the pvc, it will work just fine

True.

Its hard to upkeep metal like a ski mountain does. In my experience PVC slides way faster than metal, and doesn't rust. I think its cheaper too, so you can spend less money/build a longer rail.

pvc works really good but one of my friends likes to when he gets on rails slam down and he broke mine
