Hi, im new to rails and this season im thinking of sliding some. Anyone got any tips, instructions on how to do it right, videos or pics? maybe links? thanks

are they hard? like some people say doing certain tricks are either harder or easier than it seems. is it easier than it seems or harder? and how quick do you usually get the hang of it?

it tok me a couple of days to learn rails to the point where i was good so i guess its eaiser than it seems

if you want more advice join the trick tip cult,

ask the leader to give you an invite because i dotn think i can, there a bunch of stuff in there on how to do reails

start off on boxes when you feel compfortable start some rails

when your sliding a rail look towards the end of it stay as low as you can and keep your legs not to close nto to wide...

once on the rail its best to fall forward off then backwards so at first when you hit it lean more forward so you have a good exit plan..

but above all have determination and dont be scared to hit something just cause theres a big line to hit it..just ahve fun and keep at it.

good luck.

jk man

alright first things first visulize doing it in your head

go the rail at a meduim and line up with it so you are heading strait on

pop

turn 90 degrees and focus on the rail

keep your wait forward so you dont slip back and fall on your ass

look at the end off the rail

ride off either switch or regular

all that happens is taht you slide off the side of the rail, then you ski away, go back up the hill and give her another go

just make sure not to lean back, and spread your legs out shoulder width or more to help you balance easier.

your first rail dont do one that is higher than your balls because that is the thing that stoped me i had a very hard time to get back on

yeah, ull usually slide off to one side. am i alone on this one? or does anyone hate it when u see a boarder get on a rail, slide it perfectly, then randomly jump off. ugkjhad that pisses me off

Pratice because you cannot really take someone's adivce then slay a rail first try. A great part of it is through experience.

go around your school sliding all the benches and do like 630's off. That will get you set.

Also lean forward down be afraid, cuz falling back just pisses you off.

Ok my buddy just learned how to slide a rail natural and almost got the unnatural today in under 1 hour of hiking the same rail here. Today was his first day out all year and last year he couldn't even slide a box. That should give you perspective on how easy it is.
