Rails...unnatural

so i can do any rail natural and also con do 270 off to both sides easy, but for the coming season i was wondering what should i do first try to learn unnatural first and then go with switch ups and 270 ons or just go with switch ups and 270 ons and learn that way...any tips will help

for sure unnatty first , cause all those othere tricks like 270 on and switch up u have to ride out unnatty .. just remember that most people lean back to far when they first start unnatty so keep ur weight even

personally id do a 2 on first cause youll most likly be landing unnatural and your momentum will make you want to switch up so you can do it all at one time!

Just find a mellow rail and go for the 2 on. I learned that before i learned unnatural and then unnaural was real easy. If that makes any sense.

no real lesson to rails i think, all you gotta do is sack keep your weight on your leeding ski an look to the end of the rail. all there is to it

i learnt 270 ons before switch ups but i suppose its just how it feels best for you. and as for unnatural , i didnt really try and learn it, i just learnt 270 ons and it came easy

it make sense to me to start with the easiest and work up to the hardest so i suggest you start with unnatural and get it on lock then try whitch ever of the other two you think you'll find easiest. i did blind/back side switch ups next then 270s on then front side switch ups.

personally, I can go on unnatty fine, but can't 270. My little brother can hardly go on straight unatty, but he can 270 and switch up like nothing else, and he almost always does the two together. It is pretty much whaterver you're comfortable with.

its always good to learn unnatural first so you are more comfortable on the rails - after that the 270 isn't that scary

i dont find sliding rails unnatural that hard at all. I learnt 270 out natural and I felt that unnatural was the next step so I just tried it. Go for it, chances are you will do it fine.

thats what i would do too. i learned switchups, then i tried 270's on and rode some out but was a little awkward on the rail and started working on unatural. ive gotten better at unatty but i still need to practice so i can get 270's on a little cleaner

I learned switch ups, then 2sevs on, and I still can barely slide a rail/box unnatural. Like once I do a switch up or a 2 on, I can balance just fine, but just hopping onto a rail unnatural feels really awkward.

actually on nice wide flat down box this ends up working pretty well for learning your 270's

however what helped me start sliding unnatty was to hop on the rail and "imagine" I was sliding natty... Kinda pretend you are sliding up hill so to speak. helps make unnatural feel well natural. (hard concept to explain) Switch on's are pretty easy too and can help with switch ups.

graba 2 liter soda bottle, fill it with water and grab a skate deck and work on your balance. this will help more than anything and its really fun.

Learn unnatural first. It's always best to start with the basics and work you way up. From there, you could either do 270 or switch-up. I learned 270 first but now find switch-ups to be easier. Do whichever one feels more natural. Find a box to try it all on, them move to rails.

I learned to slide unnatty by 270ing on. Dunno if anyone else did it that way but now I can slide a rail let or right foot forward and it doesnt make a difference.

cause ur dumd, no yeah rails can be hard for those who just bought their first pair of twin tips

i find it easier to rail with my left foot in front if i recently had done 270 on natural.

instead of just going unnatural on at once

i really never practiced unnatural slides and there wasn't much to do opening day so i started trying 270's onto boxs and it was suprisingly easy. i say just giver and go for 270's on

i learned switch 270 on first then switch 27 switch up. i dont thinks theres any specific way to learn its just wat happens so you choose.
