anyone know anything about this event? couldn't find it on the killington site. maybe i'm just dumb.

but yea, any information would be grand.
 
damn it...i was looking through the summer site.

sooo anyone know when you can sign up? limited information on the site.
 
they will announce it, and no joke, passes for it literally sell out within the first day, if not within the hour that they announce it.

Best of luck, it's def a legit comp.
 
Yeah JibLife is right... they'll announce when you can register, and it generally does fill up insanely quickly. Super sick comp tho, did it last year, gonna do it again this year.
 
sick thanks for the info guys...i've heard about how quick it fills up. always looks like a sick event. are there about 50 spots or something?
 
Rails 2 Riches is going down on 12/5/09. It's gonna be sooo sick this year! We made some sweet improvements that I think the competitors will really enjoy. Pre-registration will open up mid-november and there will be a link on the website. More deatils about the event will go up on the R2R event page once the website switches on October 16!
 
Just open. There are no prizes only money and LOTS of it ($15,000)! At killington, we don't mess around with that check stuff- the winners walk away from the event with cash in their pockets...
 
tess you must have had to trick yourself out real hard to make 15gs, but i guess there arn't alot of sharons in killington
 
-No more paper bibs. I order big jerseys for everyone-You aren't required to purchase a lift ticket anymore to be in the comp-We are gonna feed you lunch after skier qualifiers before finals-Switched up the cash purse so it's more evenly distributed

Rails 2 Riches Party at Outback PizzaThe official Rails 2 Riches party (Dec. 5th) will be held at Outback Pizza located on the Killington Access Road. Rails 2 Riches COMPETITORS will recieve FREE PIZZA, RED BULL, and ADMISSION into the party. The party starts at 8:30 p.m. with a DJ and is 18+. TVs will be playing footage from R2R finals. Drink specials all night.Be there, we will!!

There will be some snow! They got a over a foot over the weekend and maybe another 5ish inches this week, on top of them making snow all week long. It should be alright, snow wise.
No idea on the set up, though. Super secrettttz I suppose.
 
I can never go to rails of riches because I always have an exam that day or the next. I was so stoked this year that it was earlier so I could actually go watch, but I have an exam on the 12th, haha, I'll never make it there!
 
Nice comment. I said that before they announced it was postponed.

Killington does have some snow and they are opening tomorrow. I don't really understand why they are postponing it. So many people are flying out for this and are going to get screwed over. Not really fair for them.
 
They are postponing because they are barely going to be open (if open at all) this weekend after a massive rain event on Wednesday night and Thursday.

They have nowhere NEAR enough snow to pull this off succesfully this weekend.
