Rails or boxes for beginners

boxes because theyre less intimidating and let you get the feel of sliding with less pain, but rails slide jsut the same, so id say boxes for a beginner

I first learned i guess on a rail but this rail was 4 in off the ground and simple as hell....but boxes are what i would reccomend because they are wider so if you land off center you will still stay on when rails you can slide off easy when you are beginning....plus they are way more forgiving....start going on straight then experiment with going sideways

i learned off a home made rail 1 ft high 10ft long.

i thought i would be falling like mad but you just slide off. this is perfect for learning to jib, i did like 20 hits before i actually did the whole thing without falling off. parks generally try not to throw in those super beginner rails, but if you can find one just hike up that till you get it

Start on rails that are low to the ground or boxes just to get the feeling. I'm still learning how to do rails and stuff and I'm mostly doing boxes right now because the rails at my mountain are all kinda hard.
