Last night I was coming home from jazz dance and I saw these guys sliding the rails on skis in Denver (the city). There was very little snow on the ground yet they still had their skis on and did it! It was just like you guys said and in the movies of poorboy. I could not believe it! Chances are that they were pros, but I don't know what most look like. It was so cool!

I did have a question though. What do we call it when you ski on the rails and instead of sliding it perpendicualr to the rail we just go straight on it? I do it on the rails with the plastic tops.

 
Amy was at my house riding my rail while you were at your jazz dance class fruitboot. Then I went and made a 'snow terrain park' in the city and slid some rails.

So I guess I stole the love that was in your life.

 
The one with the plastic top is called a box? that clears a bunch of stuff up thanks! I like boxes a lot more than rails then. Do any of you guys slide the rails? I really only see snowboarders sliding the rails when I am in the terrain park.

 
you know what, i have not done anything wrong. I am trying to learn about the newschool and those of you that are getting pissed off and sending me hate mail need to stop. Also, if you want to kick me off the site, i am not sure what to say other than, it would be a big mistake. just because i am not a hardcore terrain park jib kid doesnt mean i can't contribute. 'mods' if you want to let these guys tell you what to do then do it, but i want to stay here on newshoolers because skiing is my passion and you would be taking part of that away. i have done nothing to hurt anyone and never acted mean to anyone. please let me stay.

 
I have been standing back and reading all of this. This guy is good for the site. He loves skiing and brings some positive energy to the NS, which is what it needs. He actually posts things other than hot chicks and tanner hall. I want him to stay. Plus he makes all of us seem a lot cooler all of a sudden.

i just moved here from ohio where i used to race at the alpine valley ski club. we do not have newschool skiing there and so i am learning now. if you would like to meet up this weekend and teach me things i will be killing it up at area 51 at keystone. i love colorado though, everyone is nice unlike most of you.

Apparently not many of you are familiar with the art of Jazz Dance. It certainly is not what you think. It is a very neat way of interpreting jazz through dance. Jazz is cool, dancing is cool...dont mock it unitl you try it.
