ehhhhhhhh, i try making my own rails, im to cheap to pay for good metal, so i just use pvc and it cracks and falls apart and slides really fast

All you people sayin that rails should be 30 bucks or what not... they're charging like a grand for a 10' rail. So perhaps you should rethink your stance or figure out how you can compete with this company.

 
Alright...WTF? So this guy above me says that 'jibberkid' should rethink his stance and start trying to compete with www.railbuilders.com? So you're saying that by charging less you're not competing? You're a dumbshit...having lower prices creates competition in the same market. Similar prices (a grand for a 10' rail) isn't gonna get you anywhere...especially when you're a kid with a welder. Charge whatever your rails will sell for and will put money in your pocket...don't listen to people who don't know what they're talking about...LATE

i know my prices are cheap, i ment them that way. after all, those prices on railbuilders and drailed are so much money that no one can afford them except ski resorts. i'm not as interested in selling to resorts (although if one aproached me i would) as i am to kids. i want to be in the market of backyard rails for kids cause i don't think anyone else is into that.

A 'use at your own risk' sign would never hold up in court. if some kid were to fall and wreak himself, or possibly die, you would be fucked. anyway, i dont see how your prices can be so cheap, i know people who build rails for a living, and raw material is fucking expensive. for a 8 foot double barrel flat rail with supports, you probably looking at atleast 50 bucks for material alone, then you got to weld it, then ship it. it gets up there. plus you gotta make your fucking rails burly, look at rails on mtns, they get fucked up all the time. If your rails got all fucked up you would have weiny kids yellin at you to replace them. from how i see it, you got to be charging at least 100 bucks per basic rail, then tack on from there for more labor/comlicated rails. let alone fucking bending steel with out the proper equipment is hard as fuck.
