rails for beginners

My brother really wants to start sliding rails and wants to build some in our backyard... I was thinking of just using PVC for him to learn on. How long would be a decent lenght to learn on.. I was thinkin on making them around 6-7' long and gettin some different widths to mix it up with...

Any other opinions are welcome...

Anyone living in the Toronto area wanna lend a hand in building some my brother wants to create a whole bunch all over our back hill or have a session once they are done and we have actual snow LMK~!~

that sounds like a good idea. Id go with at least 10 feet. PVC comes in 10 ft sections usually at some places. I did something similar, but because of the limited space in my backyard, i only have one rail for now. It's a 15ft double kink whats 3ft/1.5ft tall.

Id be happy to help out since i live prety close by.

Making rails are totally cool, but putting a lot of effort into it sounds like the job the ones making and developing parks. The main idea behind riding rails it to grind anything you can find. And if there is somewhere you need a grind real bad kill a tree. Chop the branches off make it semi smooth, add some wax and voila you have a nice rail. Of cause this is something better done in someone else’s backyard. Else use public rails, its a bit more crash and learn and concrete but less work. Have fun railing =)

i live in t.o. and ive given up on home made rails cuz im too lazy to build somthin for the MAX one week of good snow we will get

I am not doing the grabs because I am getting a thrill out of touching my ski-JP Auclair

Your rail is so fuckin nice mauii! I have a C rail me too but I would like to have a kink rail too. How do you do them? can you explain me plz!
