rails: a paradox

now, don't get me wrong, rails are fun, and often stylish, and the tricks are interesting and varied (well, maybe not that varied), and when done correctly, very impressive...

however, most everyone here, myself included, despises rollerbladers: why do we? we are all just rollerbladers when we take it to the rails, just with more equipement and less tricks to do on them...

so why the hate, if we are all just a bunch of hypocrites?

There's riders like Mathias Wecxteen who is from rollerblading...I know him a little and he's a very nice guy.According to him freeskiing and rollerblading are complementary.I think that hate is stupid and unfounded.My self I practice rollerblading(just begining) and I thougth it's a good sport...

 
i dont see the point of compairing a sport that you do in an opposite season. one you have long sticks with no wheels. the other, your on wheels attached to boot. seems kinda different to me. if anything tho, id say snowblading and rollerblading are similar cuz of the shortness of snowblades. but still.

but still, all the tricks done on rails now are direct inspiration from rollerblades, with skateboarding names so as to not anger everyone that is against rollerblading, and similarily to snowblades

if you ever watch rollerblading on tv..its all about the fucking huck factor. 'oh double backflip wins again, ________ (insert goddamn stupid rollerblading rail trick name) wins again' its not about style at all...at least in the televised stuff. thats where we're different

um I doubt the tricks are inspired FROM rolllerblading cuz they cross their feet and grind on the side and stuff, skiing you can only do rotations on off and in between, and I dont think thats the really stylish rollerblade trick, skiing also feels different from bladin.

Gravity sucks

Today I met my biggest challenge. I had to take a piss in a moving bus.

i think that rollerbladin and skiin r connected. my friend just started skiin last year but has been rollerbadin his whole life and can already pull some pretty nice rails. he says the rollerbladin helps

 
^^ well, some guys do, and all the new stuff, one footers, fishbrains and the like, thats rollerblading: im asking why alot of people hate on them? i hate on them because they ruin the skatepark when im skateboarding, posing and getting in your way...
