Hey Everyone,

Hockley Valley Resort up in Orangeville is hosting a railjam on Nov 4th from 10 AM - 3 PM.

We are trucking in a bunch of snow + if temperatures permit making snow just for the railjam.

If we have snowmaking temps we will be able to put out up to 6 features!

Only $5 for the day to ski. Its Jam format so just impress one of the sponsors to get some free stuff.

Sponsors include 4FRNT, Burton, Dialogue Headwear, Muff Facemasks and Alcanine!

details athttp://www.HVRPARKS.com .

I heard there's a "no snowblades" rule being imposed? I just figured Mr. Harris might want to find out...

Orangeville is just North of Brampton.. Which is just North of Mississauga.

We didn't set a rule against snowblades but I would prefer no use of them. The snow will be good for normal skis but because your weight is distributed differently on snowblades it will put some nice marks in takeoffs.

I just spoke with Snowmaking, they said the chemicals we use to harden snow will be in on time :)

So if you want to use blades its completely cool.

all this snowblade talk wants me to grab mine out of the attic, brush off the cob-webs, and bring mine. haha snowblades!

so if i'm not thaaat good, and I just wanna chil on a rail with other skiers, and have a good time... can I still show and just chil? if I don't pull anything rad, is it a contest or more of a just chil sesh?

Hey Everyone,

Ok so heres the breakdown/update/.

Sunday 10am - 2PM

Helmets Required (Insurance thing) - If you under 18 the waiver is at hvrparks.com. Print it and get it signed by a guardian.

Looks like we have snowmaking Friday + Saturday night + will be trucking in snow both nights.

Looking at 5 -6 features. 1 will indeed be a flat rail on a very nice downslope similar to an urban handrail and it WILL be setup urban with a night slight gap.

Other features are weather and snow dependant.

Just a reply to a post about if your not that good can you still come. YES! Absolutely! This isn't a comp where you have to be able to pull some crazy trick just to hit up a rail. Its simply our way of getting everyone stoked for the season! So come out, chill, hit some features and relax!

See you all on Sunday!

Yea son. Sounds like we're gonna have quite a massive crew riding. Are you gonna bring any t's or hoodies?

So I'll try my best not to gripe about the set-up or how it was run, because I mean seriously, it was 5 bucks and Nov. 4th. BUT, that being said, if you say "6 features, 2 nights of snowmaking and snow hardening chemicals", you are more or lest committed to doing at least that. Which obviously didn't happen. Alot of people were pissed that they made the drive in hopes of 6 features and decent snow, then found out there were 2 and a half features, and all ice-rink snow.

from what i heard, they blew snow on the other side of the hill and trucked the snow over...that doesnt really make sense though.

hey HVR Parks...

tempatures went below zero both nights prior to sunday. you promised 6 rails "weather permitting." and weather permitted. so what happened?

ok guys there were no promises about 6 rails we did make snow one nite but it was to warm to make snow the other nites of the week. i also got to say that rail jam was put together in about one month and not to mention it was are first try at it. but id also like to thank all the people who came out for it it will be better next year. also IT WAS NOT A COMP IT WAS A JAM TO HELP RAIS MONEY FOR CANCER AND PROUDLEY WE MADE 500 dollars for it

Hahaha this guy over here.

Oh, and Lewko, respect man, it wasn't perfect, but it was fun and cheap. Thanks.

oh i know it wasent perfect there is alot we can impove on but thanks thats wut were going for cheap and just have fun
