Rail transfers are scary...

Last night at the Jibyard we set up a rail transfer, and holy shit.....not easy at all. Uncle Dave and Wyble slayed it (K fed transfers on lock, Dave got blind transfer to prtzl out).

I feel like when I push (hop) off the rail, my tips dive toward the other - instead of staying level and making good contact with the other rail. Any advice? I know my stance isn't wide enough; also, I need to buck up and stop skiing like a baby. Anyone have an easier time transfering blind...?

Anyway, I'm on a misson to get this. I can get one foot on, just not both. I'm gonna roll to the Jibyard this afternoon, and not leave until I get it. If anyone else wants to come learn transfers with me, DO IT.

Anyone....?

PS - The Jibyard is the perfect place to learn tricks like this without eating it into concrete.

ahh i wish i lived in portland.... damn.
better get back to work on my summer set upoh yeah transfers? iv only ever hit 1 and i didnt have to much trouble... could you post pics? (of the transfer)

they are easier to me in frontside sw up because your nose are always higher than the rail so it's less scary to me. hope it's help, sorry for my english.

i would come and learn with you but i dont live near there.... the jibyard looks sooooooo sick though i want to shred it

your going to want to jump over to the rail, but u need to jump up wards. not sraight up though, jump over and up, ur problem now is ur not jumping up enough, ur just jumping towards the rail

we do rail transfers in my backyard all the time. You have to ollie off your tails. If you lean into it youll be f'd

^^^^^^

That might be it, I'm not rocking into it at all - and that would def. stop my tips from dipping so hard.

Word.

Just pop off both up and towards the other rail - it's better if it's behind you when you start your swup, because then you can spin into it and spot your landing.

Here's a frnt swap tranny from earlier this year. it was the only way id try the tranny. the swap lets u figure out how to not get your tips caught
