I actually just stuck y first rails this year. And I almost killed myself for thinking ot was hard. All you have to do is not fall. Go straight on at first (legs on either side of the rail) and Jump, (not ride and slide) Jump 90 degrees onto the rail. Keep you stance pretty wide. The wider it is, the less likely you'll fall back and jam you thumbs like I did. And don't think about leaning any which way, the slope will do it for you. Once you do your first perfect rail, do it again, and again until you feel like your perfect, then head for a kink. After that, it's all uphill.(except for effing summer).
