do you guys use different skis for your rail skis than you use for other stuff i.e. moguls, powder, groomers, steeps, pipe ect... im just wondering if you dont, do you notice the fact that your edges are rounded off. i just want to know before i possibly ruin a pair of skis.

you probably won't notice rounded edges cause it will just be under your boot.... you will, however, notice it if you crack an edge and it falls out. which might happen. i wouldn't jib unless i had some spare sticks.

i never touch rails with my new skis, i always keep my old ones for that, but that's just me

I have my old twins that I use just for rails. I want to keep my new edges in good shape for riding pipe.

The only time I use my skis for groomers and ice is early season and for park skiing, so for me it doesnt really matter, why would you wanna ski groomers anyway?

I used to be all about one pair, but the edge is starting to fall out of my skis, so my new pair i think will be dedicated to the icy east coast pipes and I'll use my fucked up ones for jumps and rails

I use my 720s for urban rails, they are 161s so they are easy to control, but for park and park rails I use my 1080s (171)

I would use to pairs but its a hassle when i hit rails whenever i ski even it its just 1 time so its not worth it to me to bring 2 pairs to the mountain.

for rails on the hill, i use my good skis, but i always use old ones for city rails or stupid drunk escapades through downtown

i use my old ones when just hitting rails.... and yes you can tell after you hit lots of rails cause you can't hold your edge on anything hard.

i have to have two pairs because my 200 lbs can destroy a perfectly tuned edge in a matter of minutes when i slide metal.....i've been sticking to boxes lately just to save my edges a little on my rail/rock skis
