Hey me and my friends built a 9 ft rails and over the course of a month the thing rusted (we live by the water) is there anyway we can coat a rail so it doesnt rust without using paint because it wont last long with us railing it. or are we stuck having to use stainless steel

Lots of wax.

And sometimes water repellant, I forget what its called, armour all or someething.

Probably not it but it keeps water off. You'll probably have some around your house.

ive had decent lucky with mine all i did was sand to bar metal and then melt on candle wax and make it smooth with a credit card of some form while its till liquid

that has worked and i live likemaybe 10 from lake ontario which is pretty big and even when they get hit with rain it seems to be okay still

do you guys also know if mountains need to get their rails from certified companies because the mountain i ski dont know how to take care of their rails or boxes (hitting them with snowcats not waxing them not smoothing them out. etc. by the way this is seymour on the north shore) i would seriously love someone in the seymour park crew talk to me about this
