Rail Materials

Im lookin to build a rail, how much is PVC and how long is usually standard, instead of one large pipe ill prolly get 4 side by side small ones, and how many 2X4s will i need and how much do they cost. Id say a 16 footer is good?

yeah im gonna take a stab here but metal might work a bit better... i sure you can find some cheap scraps or used material somewhere if you really look and either drill it to build supports or find someone with a welder... it isn't that hard and will last you much longer than the pvc (which does break after a lot of wear and tear)

I promoted my CVS and Stop and Shop card from the inside slits to the outside ones...my Blockbuster and gym ID got pissed off, but I told them, sorry guys, laminated plastics just can't cut it in the big leagues
 
PVC works fine but it will eventually break. Its not hard to replace the PVC thats broken though. If your gonna use metal use steel, do not use aluminum. Ive tried aluminum and it doesnt slide near as good as steel plus your edges can dig in.

 
then drill holes down the length of it in consecutively spaced out 3 inch lengths and run a grill range through it and hook that shit up to some propane.. viola... fire rail....yeah that would be sick

i tried that, it doesnt list lumber or anything like that, and the website only has like pvc fittings, whore haha
