Rail Jam!!

Hey everyone in Salt lake! I've spent my first month of summer building some resort quality rails and boxes. i've made an 11 ft shotgun rail, an 11 foot flat box, and a 21 ft double kink box. I'm only a day or two away from completing them. they've turned out better than I hoped. I'm going to get snow from an ice rink and set them up at a park once a week at a park. Beause me and my buddy have put over 500 bucks into building these awesome features, I'm gonna charge 5 bucks a person. If you think thats too much let me

know. the first sesh should be in about a week. Not sure what park i'll be doing this at yet but if you have one in mind that would work well let me know.

keep everyone posted sounds like a good idea specially since the jib yard is no more and 5 bucks is perfect

hey thanks alot guys. It'll be a totally chill atmosphere. I'm no good at rails or boxes so i wont judge thats for sure. So i'm hoping to test everything out in the next few days with a few buddies to make sure no adjustments need to be made. but i just gotta buy the plastic first and some friends are holding out on me with the cash. I live very close to the store Causewell so i'm hoping to do this somewhere in that vicinity. I have 4frnt and Utah Freeskier society somewhat interested in this. but if they fall through i may need help spreading the word so tell all your ski buds. Thanks!

I'm down. You should do it at Olympic Hills Park because of all the historic jibbing that's gone on there.

Yeah man. no problem. i'm workin on the paint right now. expect pics of these in action in the next two days.

Popperton park or lindsey gardens would be illin and there wouldn't be a ton of randos trying to creep around. Id be down to pay 5 bucks but probably no more.

Olympus Hills is pretty damn close to causwell just sayin but you probably already know that since you live over there

I think you mean Anzak Park if you're talking about the one right next to Ridgecrest Elementary, but that would be a good spot to do it.

I say this for your benefit...
Please remember how easily this could backfire. If you are going to charge random kids to use your rails on someone else's property things could go sour very quickly. All it takes is one kid to get hurt, his parents to overreact and the lawsuits flying. If you do an event like this you need to purchase liability insurance, etc.
My suggestion is just keep it to homies and don't let it get too big.

Yeah. thanks for you're concern. I've been working on figuring that out this week. I have a lawyer buddy thats gonna check it out. so sorry guys. it'll be atleast two weeks before i'll be able to get any kind of public event going. i am still planning on it happening but of coarse, things never are as easy as i hope. I have to get permission from the city to hold an event at a park or school. Figure out some kind of liability waver/insurance. Also i'm figuring out what ice rink can get me snow at about 7pm once a week. But it WILL happen. All the features are completed and work great.

I'm recently helping with this and we hit some test rail today... snowless unfortunately.

But it's gonna be sic guys get the word out

Not anymore. they said they got way too many requests and it was a huge hassle so they dont do it anymore. its either murry ice rink or we figure out some kind of snow less system. which wouldn't be the worst thing ever

SEARCH BAR NOOB.

just kidding. carpet works alright... soap that bitch up real good. sounds like a good idea though! i'd pay 5 bucks for that.

SHANE LIKES DICK hahah jk

Ryan B can get you ice from steiner since he drives zam or you can get it from murray since his dad manages there.

You suck brandon. haha. can he get it around seven at night? cause thats been the issue, gettin it right when i need it. I just got the pics up. check it out!

i just moved about a block away from president's circle (the U) theere is a smaller park there in front of what used to be the 4bi9 house, i was looking at it and theres a somewhat steep hill then it goes completely flat i thought it was the perfect spot to sesh!! you should deff consider it. its at around 1300 S 200E?

that park is between 1300e and university st (1400e i believe) and between 100s and temple or what ever that one is on the north side of it

that sounds sick! i got the construction fencing today. i'll try it out tomorrow. sorry everything is taking so long. This will be happenen soon tho.

another option for a place to do it is poperton park which is just up the street from reservoir park and is more secluded so less of a chance of police and neighbors getting mad. my brother and his friends have set up rails there before and they had no problem. its just north of reservoir park up virginia street

awesome. that maybe perfect as long as there is somewhere pretty close to park. the ideal place would be at the top of the hill becaue of my 200 gallon water tank. Just a reminder to any one who wants in. it'll cost $ 5 bucks per person. i spend atleast 10 bucks every time i set up plus the 500 bucks it cost me to build the boxes. Just tryin to not be broke haha
