is going to be much more interesting and fun this year. more features,different location and a whole other sport are being added. yeeuh
 
Last I heard they were more than likely going to scale back the whole event and pull alot of the money out of it. But I have been in Ontario for the last 10 days or so...

Last years event was pretty good I thought, good talent, good setup.

I guess we will see what happens...

 
7 skiers, 7 snowboarders, 7 wakeboarders..... Magnificent 7??? Red Bull has signed up for the season ending Rail Jam.... Im hearing that this years finale is going to be mental.

I hate Survivor. That idea is DEAD....killed before it even started.
 
and ps it could have been alot gayer and probably impossible for any skiier to get into finals had a certain little homo not spoken up.
 
no we are talking about me convincing them not to make the idea that they were going to make people qualify for finals by doing skiing/ snowboard in the morning and wakeboarding in the afternoon. if you couldnt do wakeboarding, you couldnt get in, unless of coruse EVERYONE couldnt do it. but that was the firstidea. upon hearing it i deemed ithomosexual several times and said that it didnt make sense to make people do both to qualify for one sport blah blah. some of the ideas that come out of bigwhite make me giggle.
 
I definitely hear you on that one. This place is full of old managers and directors that have no clue what is going on these days as far as younger, progressive events go. Look at how many boring events they have at Big White. They spent $25,000....yeah thats right, on Cruz the Blues T-Shirts!!!! Are you kidding me!!!

Case in point, when the Deviate Wall Ride showed up Flynn wanted us to set it up on an angle down the fall line??? Obviously he was over-ruled and it was set up the way it is now. I dont even think wall rides were around when he was riding...nothing like trying to carve uphill on puckboard.

Nothing I hear surprises me anymore!

 
or even rails... flynn is old news. i am glad sean is head park builder or whatever his position is, if it didnt happen, i think our park would have not so fun.
 
holy frick thats so much money for t shirts that could buy like so many new rails cause i think the professionally made ones are like 500 bucks
 
The three white ironing board style rails that we got this year were $3200. Well built stuff is not cheap thats for sure.
 
i remember hearing about a company who built them on like the east coast and they were around 500 bucks each but i guess i was wrong haha o well but still that could have gotten alot more rails instead of dumb shirts
 
puckboard is very very expensive, high quality metal that will last a decent time is very very expensive, and there is quite a bit of it used in a decent rail, and hiring a welder is very very expensive. plus it takes a good amount of time to make a bigger rail.

think how long it took to build the s-box...
