Rail jam struggles

recently found a rail jam that seemed like it would be awesome to do.. but there wasn't too much info so I messaged the resort about it. They simply advertised it as a awesome rail jam at the event (concert going on)

In the end, there was no ladies division at all, and then later added in that it was snowboarders only.

Super frustrating when this happens. Theres not much chance that a lady can out compete most guys in rail jams - and then say its only snowboarders..

What gives? Or am I just being too butthurt over this

growing up in PA it seemed like there was never a girls division in jams. If there was, it was basically just show up and get a prize for entering and being a girl. I can see why they never have female divisions (nothing against girl skiers, this is strictly regarding low turnout) . Maybe if more girls showed up and wanted to enter rail jams it might change things.

Sadly this is incredibly common. Local rail jams can be dope, but they also can be complete disasters thrown by a couple of the locals with no experience running an event.

Definitely not fair.

When there is a railjam with a female division and 1st place prize for 250 cash and outerwear and other product for 2nd and 3rd and only 3 girls show up its kind of lame. More females need to get involved if they want every jam to have a womens division.
